The Storm and the Calmness

Sometimes we’re not prepared for a storm or storms. Sometimes there’s more than one storm at one time and when something like that happens. We may become overwhelmed. Life will consist of the unexpected and challenges that we may not want to deal with but must. For some going through a storm can be discouraging but it’s a time to learn what we need to learn.

Don’t Lose Hope During a Storm

Of course some storms are man made. Although some storms may be man made, there’s still a way to get through those storms, sometimes the storm pass over pretty quickly and other times the storm may last longer. Going through storms will help build a longer person or persons. No one should feel hopeless when going through the challenges that are sometimes constructed by mankind. In time things will fall in place. Remaining hopeful is very important.

For those who continuously go through storms. There may be some rethinking needed. Nothing we go through is too much to bare but some allow the situations to consume them and that can result in loss of some sort. In some instances others will create storms for us and even when something like that occurs. We’re able to get through and come out better than before. Too many people lose themselves when they’re going through so much at one time.

“Transforming”

Despair can be avoided by “transforming the mind.” Our mindsets can help or hurt us. We’re built to conquer but if we allow our minds to get the best of us then we won’t fair well. Adversity is apart of life and there’s no way of avoiding adversity. It’s important that we deal with adversity in a positive way. Of course not all days will be filled with positivity but overall we can “prosper” through it all.

Remove the Damaging Things Within the Storm

Those things and people that will do nothing but cause damage for others should be the ones removed out of our lives. They’re unable to add any value and those are the ones that will create storms for us. Life can seem so unfair but somethings we shouldn’t tolerate and toxic people are one of them. If we don’t have to deal with certain things then we shouldn’t. Stress can be lowered by removing the toxins. Sometimes it takes longer to remove such people out of our lives. If one wants to stay and remain whole then distance from those who will create havoc for us need to be evicted.

Going through storms doesn’t always mean that we’ve been awful in some way. Sometimes storms are training and everyone must be trained for something. Some may receive more training than others. As long as we find “peace” we’ll be happy even when in or out of a storm. Some may become dismayed because a severe storm made its way in. In time the storm will pass and we’re able to grow further. Once we understand storms better. We’re be able to get through storms better.

    • The saying 'After the storm comes the calm and after the calm comes the sunshine' is common in our household.

    • Yes, it true that there will storm and after this will calmness just in human life first pain and after this calmness forever. For example, when we ponder over the labor pain after this this is endless pleasure for parents.

Pain and pleasure, light and darkness, storm and calmness, hate and love walk always side by side in human life. As it turns out, while human beings want to both avoid pain and gain pleasure, they will do more for one than the other. Avoiding immediate pain is much more motivating than gaining immediate pleasure. If there is a lion running after you versus a suitcase full of money in front of you, which would motivate the average human to act quickly?

Avoiding a certain amount of immediate pain wins over gaining immediate pleasure every time. Studies have demonstrated time and time again that people will do much more to avoid short term pain than they will to gain short term pleasure.

As time goes on, our perception of pain and pleasure changes. Every decision you make results in at least one or more of the following: short term pain, long term pain, short term pleasure or long term pleasure. Short term always wins over long term unless there is a substantial amount of pain or pleasure associated with the long term avoidance of pain or gain of pleasure involved. Pain, or the level of perceived pleasure decreases with time.

    • Indeed, sometimes the stormy moments we go through in life does not mean that we were bad people or that we are destined for destruction. Instead, the storms may be necessary to cleanse us what obstacles may be holding us back from doing good and being our best self. Sometimes the storms help us to rid ourselves of negative people who only seek to do us harm.
