I am participating in a Confident Parenting Challenge which is hosted by Jill Riley from A Mom with a Lesson Plan. This is a 30 day challenge to help us grow confidence as a parent. It is actually a July challenge, but I did not have much time to read through and follow the challenge. I started to look into it today, and reached Day 3. The challenge for Day 3 is to find out what we did well for the day, it is called a little win for the day.
I think this is really a good idea to challenge ourselves. Sometimes it is easier for us to focus on the negative side, I can easily remember what I did wrongly, such as I scolded my children, I spent too much time online, I did not do the housework or my project work, etc. It seems like it is common for us to think about what we have not do or not doing it right. Perhaps it is because we always strike out what we have done in the to do list, and focus on what we have not.
I am sure everyone of us have done lots of good things every day. I know I have done a lot, such as I woke up early this morning, I gave my husband a smile, I spent time with my children, I prepared lunch for the family, I did some housework, I took up the challenge, I read some good articles, I earned some money online, etc. There are really a lot of things I have done well even in just one day. Sometimes I thought these are what I should do, but forgot to appreciate what I have done and thank myself for doing so much.
So, I think I should take this time to focus on what I did well and give myself a big round of applause. I am going to start this challenge today, write down what I did well for the day. I am planning to do this in August, and possibly I will continue to do it in future. Besides focusing on the positive things, this challenge also helps me to be more consistent. It is a good practice to do something everyday or consistently, so it will become a good habit.
You are welcome to join me in this challenge. Just take out your notebook and pen, write at least one thing you did well for the day, or write it in your blog or any site. I plan to write it in my personal blog and perhaps myLot (a social site where we can write and discuss, and earn some extra money at the same time) too.
If you are interested in joining the Confident Parenting Challenge, it is going to be opened again in October. You can sign up here, and it is free to join. Though it is recommended to buy a workbook for just $7, you can choose not to buy it, and I did not buy the workbook.
Happy Challenging Ourselves!
If you would like to blog, interact with others and also make some extra money online at the same time, you are welcomed to join us at LiteracyBase.

Wow nice! I think writing what you did well everyday will not only make you confident but will challenged you more to do even better as well. I will definitely try this one soon. Have blessed day. :)
Yes anjee that is very true it will make us be better people and also propel us or rather motivate us to do much more that we do. thus making this world a better place for everyone.
Challenging oneself is the best way to ward of boredom and accept what comes our way good or bad. Good luck with your challenge.
