Hobbies are not waste of time.
Hobbies can bring benefits to your health, enhance your
mood but lately, hobbies can help you to earn money online
and offline without any capitals or shop rental.
For some people retirees and homemakers who had “cut-off”
connection to the “world” which is the society, earning
income to ease their financial problem is one way to kill
boredom and feel “useful” again.
There are many hobbies that you can participate or involve
yourself into them, provided that you put your effort, time
and patience to turn your hobbies into money.

You don’t have to spend too much money on your new found
hobbies.
Treat your hobbies with great passion and introduce your
products to your friends, neighbors, relatives or sell them
online at various website.
The amount of money you can earn depends solely on the
time and effort that you had invested into your hobbies.
Potential money making hobbies are great in varieties.
These are the following hobbies that I had turned them into
money
I learned to bake cakes, cookies and muffins from scratch by
watching Youtube videos.
Reading baking websites are helpful with given tips and
tricks to help me to improve my baking and decorating cake
skills.
I also sold my cakes to my neighbors and friends.
My teenager managed to earn some money when she sold
the cookies that I had baked for her to sell to her friends and
the public ( for school fund raising event)
Use smartphone or digital cameras with high mega pixels to
take scenery photos, baking , cooking session, handmade
craft step-by-step recording, card making photos.
You can also upload the videos online.
Earn money by uploading your videos at Youtube or your
own blog.
Write a short introduction to your videos and a Killer Title
should attract lots of viewers.
I had deep interest in drawing cartoon characters when I was
a teenager but my ART teacher was not helpful in upgrading
my skill.
Hence, I start to implant my drawing skill towards my kids
who had done better than me.
Recently, I started to earn money online when a virtual
friend offered to pay me for my drawings based on his
requirement.
I am happy that my drawings had helped me to earn extra
pocket money.
I didn’t know that writing online could help a writer to earn
money.
I started to write recipe articles at Hubpages 6 years ago,
earned my pocket money which was transferred to my
Paypal account.
Later, I started to write at Bubblews, Blogjob and recently at
LiteracyBase which had helped me to improve my writing
skills and encouraged myself to explore different cuisine,
post them online.
I found several virtual friends who were very helpful and
caring when I posted questions online.
Virtual friends are far better than real friends.
I don’t buy store bought greeting cards anymore since I
started to handmade personalized greeting cards with left-
over items.
Recycle bottle caps, old clothes buttons, laces and ribbons
into lovely, unique and the only one card in the whole world.
DIY projects such as book shelves, garden table, chair
cushions bring happiness when I had completed them.
You can also sell your handmade cards online at Ebay,
Amazon and Zazzle.

'All this and heaven too' is what those who create lucrative opportunities using their hobbies could say, as they enjoy doing what they do and earn too.
I gave up my 9 to 5 job and started landscaped garden designing and execution business. Gardening is my passion and hobby.
Actually they can make more money by having a class at home.
They can teach cooking skill or knitting skill or other things that they are good at.
They can make more money in this way.
I bow my head to every mother in this world. They give everything for all the people close to their heart. The word sacrifice is always in their systems. One thing for sure, they can't keep still just staying at home to take good care of their children. The mothers also wanted to earn money even at home. They wanted to enrich their total being in earning and give everything for their family.

Yes, I agree with you. Some of us were not told about this, and we were told these hobbies might be wasting our time, and we should spend time studying hard, so that we can get a better job when we grow up.
I am glad that after becoming a stay at home mom, I slowly picked up these hobbies. Though I have not turn them into a business yet, I am happy to be able to save some money, as I can make my own toys for my children. Moreover, these are all therapeutic. They can help us to keep ourselves calm, and healthy too. They are also good skills to pass down to our children.
I did not know you are selling crafts online. I would like to learn more about that from you, as I am thinking of starting a craft business soon, especially selling hand sewing and crocheting products, as I think it might be a good way to bring in some extra income to my family while I do not need to sit in front of my computer most of the time too.
