100 Worst songs of all Time – Part 2

Welcome to the second instalment of my Worst songs of all-time series.

For some reason, I included number 90-100 in the first instalment instead of number 91-100 so this one is only going to have 9 songs in it.

89 – Warrant – She’s my Cherry Pie. This song is ultimate cheese but I absolutely love it. I want to say 80s cheese but it was released in 1990. Although it wasn’t a huge hit plenty of people must have liked it as it charted in 5 countries, reaching number 35 in the UK and number 10 in the US. It’s highest chart position was in Australia where it reached number 6.

88 – Sisqo – The thong song. This one is such an icon from my childhood being born in 1987 I was 12 when this song came out and it was just so naughty, and coincided with when I discovered thongs were a thing. It was a huge song at the time reaching number 3 in both the UK and the US, number 2 in Australia and number 1 in New Zealand as well as charting in about 20 countries. You couldn’t go to any Youth club or nightclub for that matter, without hearing this song. Saying that I do understand why it’s on this list because it is pretty awful really.

87 – Fast Food Rockers – The Fast Food Song – I cannot believe this song isn’t higher on the lsit, at the end of the day it is a song about fast food restaurants like McDonalds and KFC. Who needs a song like this in their lives? I hated it from the moment it was released in 2003 maybe I was too cool for it at 16 lol.

86 – Rednex – Cotton Eye Joe – Another song that I can appreciate why it’s on the list but it does hold a special place for me. My partner loves it and what’s it on our wedding play list. I am not too sure about that. This was released in 1994 by a Swedish band and I think it was always meant to be a joke but it got to number one in Norway and stayed there for 15 weeks, and the same for 13 weeks in Sweeden and 7 weeks in Austria and even for 3 weeks in the UK. Crazy!

85 – Mili Vinili – Girl you know it’s true. This isn’t a song I know probably because I was 1 when it was released in 1988. I do listen to a lot of older music but only good older music, obviously. Although it’s on this list it did very well on release charting in 14 countries and hitting the top spot in 4. It is certified Platinum in the US, Gold in Sweden, Germany and Canada and Silver in France and the UK so that’s a lot of people regretting their purchases.

84 – K-Fed – Popozao – This was released in 2006 and somehow, I managed to not hear it and that is something I am really glad about. K-Fed better known as Kevin Ferderline is more famous for being Britney Spears’s ex than for his musical talents.

83 – Morris Albert – Feelings – The Lyrics to this song were written in 1974 and set to a backing song written in 1957 which makes you think straight away that they couldn’t be bothered writing a whole song. Just bad full stop.

82 – Jc Chasez – Some Girls (Dance with women) – The title of this song is cringe worthy in itself without even getting to the actual song or lyrics, or the typical misogynistic 00s video.

81 – Unlimited – Get ready for this. This song is just a typical 90s club hit. Definitely not deserving of being on this list or you would have to include the entire first half of the 90s on it.

So what do you think of these 9 songs? Do you think they deserve their respective places on the list or do you secretly love them?

What would you say was the worst song ever written?
