Zimbabwe beat Kenya in 7th T 20 of series,2009

Zimbabwe was scheduled to play a 7 Match T 20 International series in Kenya in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 9 and 10. The 7th T 20 international match was to be played on Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi, Kenya. Zimbabwe holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

Zimbabwe batted well and was able to post total of 180 runs in 20 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with top scores of Vusi S who made 70 runs in 50 balls with 2 4’s and 4 six at the strike rate of 140 runs in 100 balls and Hamilton M who made 30 runs in 15 balls with 1 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 200 runs in 100 balls.

Kenya was needed to score 181 runs in 20 over’s to win this match.

Kenya batted well but was unable to chase the target of 181 runs and was only able to make 165 runs in 19.5 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 15 runs and with top contributions from Jimmy K who made 30 runs in 30 balls with 4 4’s and 1 sixes at the strike rate of 80 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe won the match by 15 runs and series ends at 7-0 in favor of Zimbabwe.
