Zimbabwe beat Kenya in 7th ODI of series,2009

Zimbabwe was scheduled to play a 7 Match ONE DAY International series in Kenya in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 9 and 10. The 7th ONE DAY international match was to be played on Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi, Kenya. Zimbabwe holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

Kenya batted well and was able to post total of 199 runs in 48.5 over’s at the loss of 9 wickets and with top scores of Collins O who made 75 runs in 108 balls with 4 4’s and 4 six at the strike rate of 69 runs in 100 balls and S Waters who made 26 runs in 46 balls with 3 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 56 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe was needed to score 200 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

Zimbabwe batted well and was able to chase the target of 200 runs in 35 over’s at the loss of 3 wickets and won the game by 7 wickets in hand and with top contributions from Hamilton M who made 84 runs in 84 balls with 9 4’s and 1 sixes at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe won the match by 7 wickets in hand and series ends at 7-0 in favor of Zimbabwe.
