Zimbabwe beat Kenya in 6th ODI of series,2009

Zimbabwe was scheduled to play a 7 Match ONE DAY International series in Kenya in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 9 and 10. The 6th ONE DAY international match was to be played on Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi, Kenya. Zimbabwe holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

Zimbabwe batted well and was able to post total of 250 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 9 wickets and with top scores of Forster M who made 70 runs in 50 balls with 4 4’s and 4 six at the strike rate of 140 runs in 100 balls and Ray P who made 30 runs in 30 balls with 1 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls.

Kenya was needed to score 251 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

Kenya batted well but was unable to chase the target of 251 runs and was only able to make 235 runs in 48.1 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 15 runs and with top contributions from Collins O who made 40 runs in 40 balls with 2 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe won the match by 15 runs and series stands at 6-0 in favor of Zimbabwe with 1 more game to play.
