Zimbabwe beat Kenya in 4th ODI of series,2009

Zimbabwe was scheduled to play a 7 Match ONE DAY International series in Kenya in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 9 and 10. The 4th ONE DAY international match was to be played on Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi, Kenya. Zimbabwe holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

Zimbabwe batted well and was able to post total of 285 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with top scores of Hamilton M who made 58 runs in 56 balls with 8 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 104 runs in 100 balls and Prosper U who made 51 runs in 47 balls with 1 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 109 runs in 100 balls.

Kenya was needed to score 286 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

Kenya batted well but was unable to chase the target of 286 runs and was only able to make 219 runs in 49 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 66 runs and with top contributions from Alex O who made 96 runs in 93 balls with 7 4’s and 5 sixes at the strike rate of 103 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe won the match by 66 runs and series stands at 4-0 in favor of Zimbabwe with 3 more games to play.
