Zimbabwe beat Kenya in 3rd ODI of series,2009

Zimbabwe was scheduled to play a 7 Match ONE DAY International series in Kenya in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 9 and 10. The 3rd ONE DAY international match was to be played on Mombasa Sports Club Ground, Mombasa, Kenya. Zimbabwe holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

Kenya batted well and was able to post total of 234 runs in 49.3 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and with top scores of Collins O who made 55 runs in 63 balls with 4 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 87 runs in 100 balls and Alex O who made 49 runs in 70 balls with 6 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 70 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe was needed to score 235 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

Zimbabwe batted well and was able to chase the target of 235 runs in 48.2 over’s at the loss of 6 wickets and won the game by 4 wickets in hand and with top contributions from Prosper U who made 68 runs in 65 balls with 6 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 105 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe won the match by 4 wickets in hand and series stands at 3-0 in favor of Zimbabwe with 4 more games to play.
