Youtube gives an opportunity for  anyone that has an urge to broadcast their talent.  In fact  “Broadcast yourself” is the Youtube slogan.  All what one needs is a camera that has the capability to shoot videos and ofcourse a computer and an Internet connection. . Using the movie maker software the video can be edited adding one’s own voice or music. One has to be original in all respects.  After one is satisfied with what one sees it should be uploaded on You tube where one has to first open an account. Once this video is uploaded a free channel is provided for the account holder.

 The main criterion is number of hits or views. Youtube sets a minimum number of hits that allows the account holder to be Youtube’s partner.

 Youtube will send an email to this effect.  There is an agreement signed which clearly disallows the account holder to accept advertisements which privilege only You tube would have and the revenue thus collected is shared between Youtube and the account holder.

 What the account holder needs to do is to spread the word  about the videos so that more and more view them and it is the number of views that determines whether the account holder qualifies to be a partner with You tube. The payment structure is relative and the Youtube administration solely decides on this.

This partnership qualifies the member to have a Google Adsense Account.

Youtube is here to stay. If there is no interest in uploading there is ample opportunity to watch videos and listening to songs and that is free. Sharing is free too.

I have a youtube account and I have uploaded several videos. I have also qualified to be a partner that gives me the opportunity to earn which is by sharing revenue on ads that appear on my videos. But so far I have not seen any payment although I see several Ads on my video clips (lol)
