Yahoo is almost sold

“Yahoo” was the first word I typed in internet explorer’s search bar way back in early 1998. The first time when I connected to internet I wanted to tell my friends that I have a computer and an internet connection. So first thing I wanted to create a mail ID before doing anything else for sending a message to all my friends on Yahoo mail. I still use the same Yahoo ID so far although I have my accounts with different email service providers.

However, Yahoo that taught me ABCD of world of internet and the fact that Yahoo is on the verge of sale is not as disturbing as it should have been since the Yahoo in later years lost its basic charisma for it has no practical and attractive features also the site is equipped with poor and insufficient security provisions.

Yahoo, that ruled the world of internet once, is on the verge of oblivion or part of the history in the coming time and we shall be searching Yahoo in different search engines instead of searching things through Yahoo search engines.

You would be surprised to note that Yahoo was once planning to buy Google and Facebook is now all set to sell its own core business and the buyer is almost ready to takeover. If all goes as per plans the internet major Verizon Communications, an American telecommunication company considered to be the largest in wireless and communication sector is all set to close the deal for US$ 5 billion.

By the way Verizon had bought another company AOL last year and now intends to use Yahoo’s advertising tools for increasing its market share in world of internet advertising business. However, Verizon will have to improvise on its existing technique to take full advantage of email, search engine and messenger services.
