Do writers online get more chances at success?

I would certainly hope so.

If I were to venture a guess, I would have to say that a writer online or an online blogger gets more views and likes than the average Joe.

This is because people who are searching online using a search engine such as Google or Web Crawler or any Yahoo! Search to name just a few, key words that match your article titles and key words and phrases that match the content of the body of your articles are likely to get a hit every now and then, but they are often accidental. A person who searches may see your article at the top of the first page of a search engine results page and that is probably where you will be found, unless you write so poorly that you only manage to get listed on the 21st page of the search results and if that is the case, you probably will go unnoticed by most people out there who use search engines like Google to find stuff to read about.

The reason so many writers are using Grammarly is to be sure to be found in a search and to get great Search Engine Optimization results in a hit or miss search by the so called bots or spiders or crawlers that are constantly searching for new and more SEO titles and articles that are relevant to the latest topics that are being searched for, not only the latest trends and top news stories from the media.

Being found in a search is not Hit or Miss, but rather, it is by being focused and being deliberate when choosing your topic, title, subject and using proper spelling, grammar and being active voice not passive voice and making your sentences and paragraphs short and sweet. Power words and words that show emotion and attention to detail seem to get more attention than generalizations, duplication or redundancy in style or content.

The number one mistake made by writers is quoting too much from other articles. If a person wanted to get the extreme details about the sinking of the Titanic they would go most likely to Wikipedia.com for the information, but if you can come up with your own slant on the subject with a unique and special title you might be able to get new readers to check out your views about the reasons for a specific event that has already been meticulously explained in great detail by historically accurate encyclopedias and news articles that have already been documented and read by others millions of times over.

To write with originality and personal voice, you as the online blogger have control of the exactitude of an article’s subject and put your own special spin or perspective, if you will, on the subject. This might pave the way for new followers, new and fresh points of view offered by readers and provide feedback that may give you more in return for your efforts in the way of added knowledge of a topic that you may have started a discussion on that will benefit you as well. People seem to love to share information when it is deemed relevant to a topic.

Feedback is part of the new phenomenon of online writing. It is called social media because it is about interaction between the author and the reader and this feed back system is almost the same as a real time conversation with like minded persons who engaged in discussions in a casual manner to be either enlightened by the interaction or just for the sake of starting an informed debate or even argument over the pros and the cons of a subject that can be covered in detail or merely touching the surface to hit on the basics.

The power lies in you. The writer has control. You initiate and they in turn, offer their own views to share with yours to create a more cohesive connection between your world and the world wide web.
