I cannot praise my camera enough, that just with a little bit of effort it produces great results. The features in there automatically adjust to situations. All what I need to do is to focus and shoot. Thanks to my camera I spend more time in my garden looking for subjects to capture. In this digital age the joy one gets to see the results of one’s efforts, instantly, makes one spend a lot of time playing with the camera. Only those with a passion for photography will know what this means to them. No doubt there are more advanced cameras which professionals use but for amateurs like me this camera serves the purpose.
Am I not grateful that I have a zoom feature in my ever faithful camera that lets me capture photos of flowers that bloom in my garden to perfection?
Here is the Garlic Vine(Mansoa alliacea) that is right up on our Noni Fruit Tree. How else could I have captured it in my camera if not for this zoom feature? Those with a passion for photography will not stop talking about their camera that helps them without having to be a professional. I am not a professional but I have a huge collection of photos that look as though they have been clicked by a professional.
I have graduated from a box type camera to this Sony DSC H50 Cyber-Shot that has several features including that ‘smile’ feature. When the ‘smile’ feature is enabled it will click only when my subjects have a smile on their face. Ofcourse this does not include flowers and animals.
Garlic Vine is a hard creeper that does not need any maintenance. It will suddenly burst into colour – shades of purple when I least expect it to. The flowers will remain on the creeper for several days while new buds emerge. One needs to wait for that particular stage when it is at its best and just shoot.
A garden with plenty of flowers and a good camera is a perfect combination for those who have a passion for photography.

That's a wonderful passion you have, photography. And yes, only a few have that kind of skills.
I tried taking pictures many times with my phone but I am not satisfied with the outcome. I cannot say there is wrong of my camera because when my sister uses it, she got some good pictures. So, I must say, it's not a passion of mine. Maybe I am just a lover of nature that I want to take some souvenirs of them through photos but I cannot do proper photography. :-)
