It is wonderful when you have no expectations

Expectations can always be disappointing. I never expect anything in life and when I get someth9ing unexpectedly I accept it with open arms and enjoy those surprises.  Not that I was like this always. During the course of my life it has taught meI was thinking of having a quiet birthday with no fanfare just me and my thoughts, thoughts of yesteryears, reminiscing what life got me. Life did get me great things, wonderful memories. 

And just when I thought I would just have my thoughts to keep me company on my birthday, 3 of my best friends land up at 8 in the morning when I was still in my night clothes. The came with flowers and a cake. They sang and danced and took selfies and while they were busy my 3 phones rang incessantly someone here, there and everywhere wanting to wish me a happy birthday.

Things taste so great when one least expects them and that is what I felt too. The day is still young and I know there will be many more phones from all over wishing that I live forever – some thought that!! I do not want to live forever but anyway never refuse a good wish. 

There will be those friends who came over this morning to share a cup of tea with me this evening. I had to do it although I had not planned it. I added another couple of those who wished me from the vicinity and hope to have an unexpected happy, fun filled evening. 

I have baked a nice bread pudding and deep fried some cashew nuts. There are many mangoes that I shall cut and serve at tea time. The cake which my friends bought will be shared too.

There is  many a disgruntled soul that  lives a miserable life because their expectations do not become real. Stop expecting and live a fun filled life.
