WONDER FRUIT BY MOTHER NATURE – BANANA

Benefits / Qualities Of Banana

Few days back, I got a chance to visit a zoo. There I saw a group of monkeys roaming around happily. The way they were dancing and playing made me think – what is so special that they are enjoying and what is giving them so much energy? Then I saw a baby monkey who was crying. His mother gave him a banana to eat. He immediately laughed and enjoyed the bite.

A very small incident that made me think – what is that which is giving so much energy to these monkeys. Is it that banana OR is it something else. I did some more research into this matter and am presenting this info article in this regard.

Introduction: Nutrient comparison

When it comes to nutrient, there is no compromise. It is this factor which will decide whether the given food will serve the purpose OR not. We will take apple as a tough competitor to the banana. The apple is well known in the world as killer of diseases. So, it can serve the purpose. Here is what was discovered via experiments.

These are all nutrients which are important from Health perspective. In most of the cases, the battle is clearly won by Banana.

Disclaimer: My intention is not to hurt the sentiments of Apple lovers but to present the truth in an objective manner.

Sugar level and energy

Banana contains the perfect balance of all 3 forms of Sugar: Glucose, Fructose and Sucrose.

The world today admits that all 3 are excellent sources of energy. While increase in blood sugar is often known to cause diabetes, research has shown that Glucose is actually good for you because it not only provides you a boost of energy but also regulates your blood sugar levels. Since banana contains the mix which your body really needs, it can help you prevent the risk of diabetes. (Note: If you already suffer from diabetes, then consumption of banana is not recommended)

Banana is an excellent source of dietary fiber as well. Diet fiber is rich in polysaccharides, cellulose, starch, chitix, insulink and other substances. Fibers can control the risk of cancer, cholesterol, digestion and the same is clinically proven to control Heart diseases as well.

It is my personal experience: 2 Bananas === enough energy to do workout for 100 minutes.

Depression & Hypertension

Banana is a natural source of Tryptophen, a type of protein which the body is known for converting to serotonin. This serotonin can help you relax your mood and become happier. Further, Potassium which is widely available in banana (as shown above) can reduce stress by a substantial 50%. Banana can not only refresh your mood but it also gives you substantial energy to keep that freshness last long. By drastically lowering the stress content, it seems to be perfect solution to hypertension and other related problems. In simple terms:

Banana = Death attack to depression.

Blood Pressure regulation

There are many diseases which have the potential to take you near to death and blood pressure is one such disease. Unfortunately, the natural solutions for the same are very rare. The reason being: for the blood pressure to be cured, Potassium and Proteins need to be high with low concentration of salt. The medicines are very costly and hence treatment seems almost out of budget.

But surprisingly, the solution is near us. The banana can solve the problem. Just 1 banana with your normal diet and you will see high blood pressure dropping down drastically within a month.

Ulcers

Ulcers are caused due to over acidic reactions in mouth. Even if you have ulcer attacks, banana is an excellent food. In fact, it is the only raw fruit which can be easily eaten in such cases. Banana contains neutralizers to prevent acidic reactions. Zinc and Magnesium which are present in banana in huge amount can stop such acidic reaction and this will help you reduce the risk of getting ulcer attacks.

Banana skin – death to mosquito bites & warts

Try a simple exercise. Apply the skin of banana over the infected area. Make sure that yellow part is outside. Put there for 15 minutes and throw the same.

For mosquito bite, it will nullify the irritation while warts will slowly disappear. The banana skin is an excellent source to cure those drastic troubles.

Brain powers

Potassium and Zinc found in banana can boost up alertness and mental abilities. They will help you improve your learning abilities and can sometimes act as brain chargers.

Summary:

Now the time has come. I wind up and change the proverb:

A BANANA A DAY KEEPS MANY DOCTORS AWAY

AND

BANANA IS SUFFICIENT TO MAKE MONKEYS (OR ANY LIVING BEING FOR THAT MATTER) HAPPY

Actually A potassium-rich diet can help lower blood pressure, and people who eat plenty of potassium have up to a 27% lower risk of heart disease (22, 23, 24, 25). Furthermore, bananas contain a decent amount of magnesium, which is also important for heart health
