A woman’s Gamble with Investment

Sheila, heard about a brilliant making idea from a close friend. She had heard about it and even seen the adverts all over social media pages, but she wasn’t quite interested until Daisy her friend explained the investment idea to her. Although she had her reservations about investing in schemes, this particular one was projected to be different. So Sheila decided to give in a try.

The first month she invested some money into the business  and awaited the yields on the investment. On receiving the stated percentage of interest for the sum she invested. Sheila was thrilled at the possibility of raking in more profits from the said scheme. Almost everyone she knew was in on it. She told husband about the fantastic money making venture that that could seriously give them the financial freedom they needed . Her husband being a financially modest man advised her to desist from further from investing in the business but she being head strong continued investing in the business quietly. She became a brand ambassador for the scheme and was fast becoming a multi millionaire. The success of the scheme made her in no short time to brag about her investments. She would tell friends that she could never be poor again.

Fervently, she was recruiting investors for the scheme company. She made her beauty salon a centre to help her customer and acquaintances to invest in the business even guaranteeing them that they could never loose money. Ah,yes, she was living the life! Soon she was able to buy a new car and started to plan for international trip until the bubble burst!

Sheila being in control of her family’s savings account put in their whole savings in to the scheme, hopeful to get more for the family and make her husband very proud of her. Before she did so, she had monitored the online company and since she trusted their antecedents and track records decided to take the risk. She did not bother to hint her husband on what she was about to do because she knew he would reprimand her. A few days before her investment was to mature, she got an early morning phone call from Daisy, telling her there was a notification on the on the company’s website stating that withdraws were frozen until the company was able to resolve some technical issues.

Confidently, she reassured her friend that the issue was going to be resolved in no time and that they had had similar instances wherein withdrawal of funds where delayed. That day, her shop was swamped with people she had dealings with.The news of the crashed scheme had gone viral. Being a very sweet talker Sheila had to soothe the troubled minds of her clients.

Despite the government’s warnings many citizens like sheila were caught in the web because of innate greed.Five days after her investment was due for withdrawal,Sheila started to fret because the site stopped functioning.it was then her esteem crashed! she realised she had jeopardised her family’s future and that they may have to face some difficult times.

She was in real trouble!She could not figure out how she was going to break the news to her husband.the odds were too obvious to be missed.during dinner that day,her husband to hold her,”i can tell you have done something so wrong.” it was then she collapsed to her kneels and tearfully apologised confessed her deed and sought for his forgiveness.

Frank walked away from the dinner table to the bedroom.Sheila followed him behind apologising.He picked up his car key from the beside stood and walked out in fury to his car and grove off of his compound.After what seemed to be a spit second,Sheila heard the screeching of brakes and a sudden loud crashing sound. On hearing that sound, she ran out in frantically of their home frantically to see that Frank had just had a fatal accident,his vehicle had just crashed into the garbage truck that was positioning to pick up their garbage
