How to win friends during travel: Part 1

I have always found that some of my Fellow Passengers lacked the willingness to talk to me or anyone else during my thousands of travels I did in for my business or personal purpose. I think making friends during travel is an art of making friends especially out of shy co-passengers. In fact, some people are really so shy that will never look at you or take an initiative for starting a conversation.

As I said some people are very shy or should I say they belong to reserved category, although they want to get mixed up with people and have as much fun and interaction as they see other people are having, in my child hood I was like that somewhat, but only up to some extent, I would become my usual self once the things got going.

Is it shyness or arrogance?

There is a very thin line between shyness and arrogance in this particular matter. You will have to agree that shyness can be mistaken for arrogance .We all know perceptions are made on certain parameters and shy people can often be grossly misunderstood. I guess there are some basic rules while talking to such people. I suggest use smaller sentences.

Better still give them a nice friendly smile while looking at them. You know what you will do to put them off try talk to them in a rapid fire way and they get back to their shell back. So, always be gentle and polite and see the reaction when speaking the next sentence.

Try this

It is perhaps the surefire way and the quickest way to make a friend. Just offer them a help and do that with a smile too as the famous saying goes when you smile people think that you are friendly, understanding and ready for some kind of interaction. Have you heard that marketing people are suggested to learn the trade of the trick of smiling in front of a mirror?
