The science makes new theories and the technology makes the things to make our life easy and comfortable to live in. When we do not accept any science and rely only on technology it leads the humanity to nowhere. The science develops theories based on many investigations and arrives at the correctness of any theory based on qualitative, quantitative, and analytical observations. If one does not support the other the very theory becomes a big thrash.
The Department of archeology does research to find out if there were any cultures existing prior to our existence and if so what was their life, how was their society, what were their traditions etc, It becomes a part of their subject study. If they find out something they reveal it to the public that a particular culture or civilization was in existence prior to our existence and so and so civilization is the oldest one giving the details of their study and the ways based on which such conclusions are arrived at.
At one time, people were thinking that the Nile civilization was the oldest one. The research based on science has proved that there were many civilizations that existed prior to Nile civilization. The Mohanjo-Daro and Harappa were such civilizations. The earlier theory was pushed aside and the subsequent theory gained importance. There is nothing wrong to accept the truth and any truth based on science with biased mind will only lead to misconceptions and the very existence of science becomes doubtful.
When we talk about Mohanjo-Daro and Harappan culture we come across many interesting things relating to their lifestyle, society, kingdoms, rulers, etc., There are many ancient scripts that we come across pertaining to their civilizations. The Vedic culture is one such one. We here about the great Indian Epics viz., the Ramayana and the Maha Bharata.
In Ramayana, when Sita was abducted by the Demon King Ravan, Rama sends Hanuman to find out where she was. The latter finds her in Lanka. The war becomes inevitable between Rama and Ravana. The question was how to reach Lanka along with forces to wage a battle with Ravan as there was a sea between the two regions of LANKA and Rameswaram (THE PLACE IN INDIA). After a careful thought, Rama orders for the construction of a wall and the task is assigned to Neel, a Vanar, who was considered as a great architect. He constructs a bridge on the sea itself using boulders, deploying many VANARS .
The so-called bridge is mentioned in Ramayana as RAMASETHU.
Many Indians have viewed Ramayana as the story of Rama and Seetha only and considered them as mythological figures. The incidents and constructions of buildings etc., were never given a serious thought or attention. They even thought that such things even if they had happened everything might have gone under water with the passage of time.
But, in 2002 the NASA’s photographs revealed the existence of a long bridge under the sea. It said that it was a human made structure. But, for the reasons best known to them NASA has recently come out with a statement in the News that the images do not reveal anything more than a 30 k.m long, naturally occurring chain of sandbanks.
The NASA is totally unable to accept the things and events of the past mentioned in the Religious books of a particular religion and unable to digest the infallible truths associated and stated in the sacred books. This shows how biased are their reports and credible are they?

One of the conspiracy theories is that the Apollo-11 never landed on the moon. It was only picturized in the studio. When the theory was gaining ground NASA came out with several explanations but could not explain the reason for the fluttering of the flag when there was no atmosphere on the moon? Why are the folds on the flag?

nasa is not losing any credibility, i guess they are great at their area, and i would not trust any thing else in that area but them, many agrees with me, i also know that they are human so mistake is expected but not to be big or many, thakns for the post and the view point you expressed
So what's their explanation on the fluttering of the flag? And why would NASA tell lies? They would surely lose credibility if they do so.
NASA has to be rational and objective and not selective when it comes to doing their job. Whether NASA tells or not or believes or not I am not concerned. Many Indians like me believe in the Rama Sethu. Indians have to come with superior technology as this is a good opportunity for them to further establish their credibility and unravel things which were thought to not exist by other people. If they specialize in this they will get more such projects from countries who would want to know about their history.
The launch or 104 satellites in one shot and the launch of Mangalyan or Mission to Mars only at a fraction of the costs which developed countries spend is an achievement in itself. The ancient city of Dwaraka where God Shri Krishna lived and which is under the ocean was also discovered by the scientists in India. There is no limit in what we can do if we really set out achieve the same. Agencies like NASA or other such agencies should not play around with people of the world, their sentiments and the history. Professionalism is expected from such agencies which have a high reputation. If they play around with their reputation it will be at their on peril.
NASA is an unreliable source? That's news to me! (O.o)
