For the past 6 or 7 years i have been cutting my own hair at home. It is something i like to do and is something i save up on since going to a hair salon can get quite expensive if you want the job done right,
My hair used to be extremely curly when i was younger and i would tell her to cut it to a certain point and due to her lack of knowledge (i can only assume) she would cut it shorter and my hair would be awful.
After having these experiences i started to look around online on how to cut my own ahir and found the best way to cut mine. My hair is short and rarely goes past my shoulders (thinking of growing it out by the way).
So, what do i do?
First i separeate my bangs and upper crown section and tie them away in front of my head. The rest i tie it in a very high pony tail, as high as i can. Then i cut a straight line from the ponytail with scissors. To do this i have to cut it with my head upside down. When i get to the length that i want i separate the upper crown area and the bangs, then trim the upper area. Since i have side swept bangs i brush it to the opposite side and cut it straight and always a little longer to avoid mistakes. This way when i put them to the right side they have that side form.
This is my process and not alot of people tend to cut their hair at home. It is a personal preference and i like to do it myself. Might as well be me messing up my hair than paying someone to do so right?

Thanks for sharing your good experience! As for as I know, there are some tools we can seek for easily online for cut our own hair.
In fact, my 6 years-old boy refuses to go to saloon for a hair cut. He stressed he will only go to saloon after 8? Or never! I really forgotten on her statement. I don’t cut very well, but he still love to ask me to do it as he feel scary about the noise of shave.
We can learn how to have a own hair cut online, right?
I cut my own bangs when I had it before, because it’s really time wasting for waiting a long Q at the saloon for just a 3 minutes bangs cut.
And, it would be costly for just bangs cut. Thus, I learnt and cut it by myself. Have no choice! Haha!
I do it for my girl whom has bangs as well, for the same reason.

For several years I would go to a professional to get my hair cut, then in a couple of months when my hair grew out some more, I would take the scissors to my own hair and trim it up a bit. I became a master at framing my hair to my face, but that's pretty easy. However, a few months ago I figured I would buy some professional shears, watch some youtube tutorials, and have at it. I thought I could style my own hair. So I began chopping away, switching back and forth from thinning shears to regular shears. The next thing I knew was I had cut a strip of 4 inches off my hair. I picked up the regular shears instead of the thinning ones. Needless to say, I no longer cut my own hair.
