When People are That Stupid…

Let me put my cards on the table;  I live in Jamaica, an island in the Caribbean.  I listen to the BBC, that is the British Broadcasting Corporation.  Hence, the news I get about the United States, (beyond friends who email, phone and texted) is 2nd or 3rd hand.

When Donald Trump began to go after the Republican nomination I was repelled.  I don’t like racists, xenophobes, sexists, or crass and disgusting creatures who have a belief in their own superiority.

I did not listen intently to his speeches, in fact, he was like a rat, something you don’t want to see or hear.

However!

I had absolutely no doubt in my mind that if he was elected he would ban immigrants and even residents of the United States who came from specific Muslim nations.  I know this, because he said this.  He said it in different ways, at different times, but it came out of his mouth.

When he implemented his Ban, the only thing that surprised me was that Afghanistan and Pakistan were left out.  I knew, due to his various business ties with Saudi Arabia he would not offend them, but the other two did perplex.  However, I was not at all alarmed, upset, annoyed, or anything else… because HE SAID SO.  He told the American people what he intended over a year ago, and kept repeating it.

I suppose there are a lot of people in America who are very stupid, or who seem incapable of comprehension.

A few hours ago, the BBC broadcast this interview with this Syrian woman in Philadelphia.  She was very unhappy.   As a die hard Trump supporter, who had voted for Trump, because…he would…”MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!!!”  her family, from Syria was detained.

This die hard Trump supporter had sent for her family from Syria.  They were stopped at the airport.  They were detained. And then?  They were Sent back.

And she is voicing her surprise?

She should be packing now, because if the ban, which has been lifted is reinstated, he’ll be throwing her out as well.  Doesn’t she realise that?

How stupid can this woman be and dress herself…(I assume she can dress herself).

Donald Trump made it clear that he is an Islamophobe, (save Saudis and other Muslim with whom he has business dealings) and anti-Hispanic, (save for those who slave in his various enterprises).   That he would not accept migrants or refugees is documented.   He SAID SO.   It is not that people attribute remarks to him, it is that he opens his mouth and they fall out.  He takes up his cell phone and ‘tweets’.

Don’t be surprised if Mosques fall under scrutiny and many people are arrested, detained, and tossed out of America.  He made it clear what his intentions are.

Don’t be surprised if trucks roll up at various points and Hispanics are loaded aboard and carried to Mexico and dumped.   He has made it clear.

If one isn’t a white American Christian, preferably male, voting for Trump is voting against yourself. But hey! People do that all the time.

They don’t want free or cheap health care!   They don’t want a clean environment!  They want Trump! And they got Trump!

As I’ve said many times before;  if you go into a restaurant and order escargots, how can you be alarmed when you get snails?
