When Money isn’t all You Are

Picture a lawyer’s office.   There’s a guy in a denim suit, a woman around his age, and an older man who looks a little shabby.  The Shabby man speaks to the woman who doesn’t want any part of him.  She’s conversing with the guy in the denim suit.

She goes in first and when she’s done, sits and waits for the guy she just met in the denim suit.  She ignores the shabby guy although he’s very nice, asks her if she wants a glass of water when he goes to the cooler. She makes a negative grunt.

The denim guy comes out, and the two leave together.

The woman had come to sign a document.  The denim man is being defended by a legal aid assignment.  The Shabby guy owns half of Ocho Rios.  He’s a more than a millionaire and is coming in to start a franchise in Kingston.

I’ve been watching the ‘comedy’ from the moment he tried to speak to the woman.

Now Mr. Shabby deliberate drives an old car and dresses shabby because he doesn’t want anyone who is after his money.  He’s been there, done that, and almost married a hottie who was looking at his pocket.  He didn’t. And he is never going to put himself in that position again.

So, he is his charming self, wrapped in shabby clothes.

You’ll find the richest people in my country usually dress down.   They usually drive nothing cars, wear almost no jewelry.

One of them had gone to a top law firm and was warned by the attorney that a certain payment would be non-refundable, so if he didn’t have the money…  and he told her;   “I can buy this building and put you on the street, instead, I’ll take myself to another lawyer…”  which he did.

The fanciest looking people, with the hair style, the skin bleach, the jewelry, have spent it all on that ‘packaging’.   Those who seem this side of shabby are usually very rich.   So far, they’ve been able to avoid the gold-diggers.

One of the things you’ll find in life, is that money ‘talks’.   You’ll always seem some ugly obnoxious guy with money who can ‘buy’ almost any female he wants.   You’ll see older women with their bunga boys, which they change like their shoes.

The announcement seems to be ‘Money is Everything’.

Just look at Trump.   Ugly, no manners, stupid, hateful, yet he buys one pretty woman after another, buys his friends.    Wash the orange off his face and park his wig, put him in an old car and no one would look at him. But they’d have more than enough reasons why.
