When it’s party time

I love parties and most of all like  to organise them. I have organised parties for office, neighbours and family for different occasions.  Event management is great fun.

We all look forward to parties  which are so necessary to break the monotony of life. Any reason is good enough to call friends and family to spend time together in a pleasant atmosphere with music, eats and games not to miss the environment that is created with proper decor with balloons and all!!

It is the games that finally liven up any party.

There are countless games that could be included in a party but one has to be selective as it depends on the guests that have been invited. If there are seniors then the choice of games would be such that all ages can participate. There is no problem if there are only youngsters. For Children’s parties there are games that are exclusive to that group.

Passing the parcel is one game that can be played where the group consists of  all ages .And then there is housie. “One fat lady No. 8” (lol)

With youngsters a game where the group keeps dancing and a few get eliminated when the music stops. The floor is divided into sections. The compere announces the name of a section and all those standing in that section will be eliminated. This game is the most exciting game of all.

For children,  running around games will give them the desired excitement. One such  game comes  to my  mind and that is musical chairs.

There is no dearth when it comes to party games but what is important is to select them rightly.

It is also important that guests take part and enjoy. The organisers can put in a lot of effort but if guests do not co-operate then that party becomes a flop.

    • Party times are great times. Games also liven up parties. What with funfare and feeling good. Food is also great.

Birthday parties are the ones I like best. The eating of the birthday cake after blowing candles and the happy birthday song is the best.

What I do not like in parties is ending late, the clean up and hangover. At times we become sick due to overeating.

      • @stbrians MESHACK BWOYELE KEYA You are right about birthday parties specially that never dying song. It is sung the world over. I do not like late parties. My parties wind up by 9
