What about that uneducated child?

In a world where poverty is the order of the day and economies are going deep into recession especially in the third world countries, the importance and need for quality education cannot be relegated to the background. When we talk of sustainable development, wealth creation and the eradication of poverty in our world, quality education must be brought to the front burner.

They say that information is the food of the mind. It is only when someone eats that he/she could have the strength to go about the duties of the day. It is also the same with the human mind; the more it is fed, the better and sharper it becomes and vice versa. The moment the human mind is fed with the proper information required to excel in its activities, we discover that there is no limit to what it can conceive and achieve. So what better way can we go about the task of feeding the mind with information if not for qualitative education.

Now my main aim of writing this is not to tell you what you don’t already know but to point out the sincere fact that we mustn’t wait for the government to do everything. There is something you can do to contribute your own quota to global development. You can seek out a child whose parents cannot afford to train in the school and take responsibility of paying the fees. You can pay for a session if you can’t afford to see a child through school. You can teach a child yourself. You can gather a group of children who can’t pay their way through school and use your free time to teach them the little you know. You can use your influence to mobilize people to raise money and invest in the life of the future generation especially in Africa and the third world nations.

Education is the major requirement of the 21st century youths and teenagers. if they must rise up to face the challenges of the current trends, if poverty must be eradicated, then education must be given its full attention. There can’t be a great future if the present is wrongly administered. Help make our world a better place. Get out of your comfort zone and cause something positive to begin to happen. Gift someone with education today.

    • We “mustn't wait for the government to do everything”. Truer words were never spoken. In fact, in some countries waiting for the government to act is the same as hoping for nothing to happen! Even in so-called advanced and modernized countries like America, getting government officials to move forward is a struggle! Was once listening to a famous celebrity who was being interviewed because of a charitable work she was spearheading in a poverty stricken part of the world. The interviewer asked her why was she doing it and wasn't it something that the country's government should be doing for the people. Her response was something to the effect: “How dare I not help? I've been blessed by God to be able to do this. I have it within my power to do something about it. How dare I not do it? How dare I push the responsibility off of someone else?” We can all help each other. Charity never fails.

    • Thanks dear.
I wish people can get to understand this simple fact - that everything one has was given to him/her by God. it's actually a blessing. when they understand it that way, it will go a long way in helping them know that the blessings where not meant for them alone but for other ones who are not privileged like them.

Government cant do everything and the more people understood that, the better for all of us. so the best option is to go out of our way and do something no matter how little to better a life.
      thank you once again
