West Indies Beaten by New Zealand in 2nd ODI of series,2014

West Indies was scheduled to play a 5 Match ONE DAY International Series in New Zealand in 2014-15. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who will be crowned as the winner after the series as both are ranked at 4th and 5th. The 3rd ONE DAY international match was to be played on Queenstown Events Centre, Queenstown, New Zealand on 1st Jan 2015.

Rain interrupted match shortened to 21 over’s a side game.

New Zealand batted very well and was able to post total of 283 runs in 21 over’s at the loss of 4 wickets and with top scores of Corey A who made 131 runs in 47 balls with 6 4’s and 14 six at the strike rate of 279 runs in 100 balls and Jesse R who made 104 runs in 51 balls with 12 4’s and 5 six at the strike rate of 204 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies was needed to score 284 runs in 21 over’s to win this match.

West Indies batted well but was unable to chase the score of 284 runs and was able to make only 124 in 21 over’s at the loss of 5 wickets and lost the game by 159 runs and top scores by D Bravo who made 56 runs in 54 balls with 3 4’s and 3 six at the strike rate of 104 runs in 100 balls.

New Zealand won the match by 159 runs and now this 5 Match ONE DAY international series stands at 2-1 in favor of New Zealand with 2 more games to play.
