West Indies Beat Ireland in 2nd T 20 of series, 2014

Ireland was scheduled to play a 2 Match T 20 International Series in West Indies in 2014. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as both are ranked at 7 and 9. The 2nd T 20 international match was to be played on Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies (Caribbean) on 19th Feb 2014. West Indies hold the upper hand as they are more experienced team and playing at home.

West Indies batted well and was able to post total of 96 runs in 20 over’s at the loss of 9 wickets and with top scores of Andre F who batted very well and made 19 runs in 15 balls with 0 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 127 runs in 100 balls, L Simmons who batted very well  and made 12 runs in 18 balls with 0 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 67 runs in 100 balls, D Smith who batted very well  made 11 runs in 17 balls with 1 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 65 runs in 100 balls faced, M Samuels who batted very well  made 10 runs in 16 balls with 1 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 62 runs in 100 balls and D  Bravo who made 10 runs in 13 balls with 1 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 77 runs in 100 balls, Extras contributed 2 runs with 0 byes, 0 leg byes, 2 wide balls, and no one ever stepped.

Ireland was needed to score 97 runs in 20 over’s to win this match at the run rate required of 4.85 runs per over.

Ireland lost the match by 11 runs and now this 2 Match T 20 international series ends at 1-1, Series ends tied. Darren Sammy was adjudged man of the math for his great bowling and fielding as well.
