Weird Terms IN cricket ***Night Watchman**

In cricket we have some names which look so weird and if a person who does not have any knowledge of cricket or if it has some knowledge even then it does not know what it means and where it is uses in cricket. As we have the term “ Night Watchman ” it looks weird and many won’t know its meaning but it just means a player who is sent up the order to bat and to save the better batsman for  next day actually this is happened only in test cricket which is for 5 days and in it only 90 over’s are played  in a day for example if only 5 or 10 over’s are remaining in the schedule close of play then most teams tend to send  a bowler up to batting as even if it gets out then the team wouldn’t have much of loss but in this way at least they have saved the proper batsman to play next day but slowly teams have reduced to use this and soon it will be find only in history books. Another weird word is follow on , it is also used in only test matches, for example if A team has made 500 runs and then other team B is batting and it has made only 250 runs and were bowled out, then the A team has the option to follow on and can give enforce the follow on and force the B team to bat again and target firstly remaining 250 runs and then if they were able to make another 250 runs, whatever they achieve more than 250 is to be made by the A team to won the match. There are many words like that but we can get accustomed to them only with experience and after having a good knowledge of rules of the greatest game cricket and this is how we can learn many new terms and words of course.
