Shalini had come to know of an alibi that Devendra had gievn her yesterday night and went to a friend for a late night party. Devendra had apologised and admitted his mistake. He said that that friend of his insisted on having a party, but he was initially unwilling and had to make up his mind. Yet he had to give an alibi so as not to hurt Shalini.

Yet Shalini had given him a mouthful. This had made Devendra very very upset. He went out without completing his breakfast. Even Ankit who was quite bubbly and playful had become totally quiet.

It was around 2 o’ clock afternoon time now, and Shalini was now feeling sorry for her outburst that morning. And a plan was ready in her mind…

The “Plausible” reason, the Theatre Plan and the friendly advice

‘I fail to understand why she keeps on getting so angry, without a plausible reason!’, Devendra spoke, stiring sugar in his coffee.
‘Plausible,? It depends on what you define as plausible!’ Kavya replied, without taking her eyes off the latest issue of Forbes Magazine.

She continued ‘I know that it is hard for you Men to understand many of the feelings that the women go through, but at least you need to give try. Perhaps you can be a bit more understanding?’

‘A ha! Women empowerement?’, laughed Devendra.
‘Well, perhaps yes and may be no, it is just being more “humane” I would say.’, Kavya too joined in the laughter and gave a pat on Devendra’s back.

‘Devendra, we have a meeting in next 15 minutes.’ Harinam called out from some distance.
Harinam was a close friend of Devendra and they had been working together for 5 years, and had even traveled together to some places.

‘I have to leave Kavya. Let us plan to meet sometime again.’
‘How about watching that new Musical Play in the town at Subhankar Theatre tomorrow evening? I think you would also love that play.’, Kavya got off from her seat.
‘Yes, we can tie up. It would be great.’

While in the elevator, Harinam spoke “Devendra, you better maintain some distance. These office flings can be dangerous.”
‘Harinam, its just NGO business, and Kavya is quite an affable creature. I like her down to earth approach, and its just a friendship.’
‘I would just say- look before you leap.’

    • Every relationship is different regardless if is parental or not is just beautiful that relationships exist and are people willing to fight for it to stay stronger.

    • Relationship is a serious matter in life and of life but I think relationship rests on human thinking and nothing else. You've been close friends for a while, and it's never been a problem. Until now. Suddenly, you find your face flushed when they appear. You're up all night wondering what exactly they meant in that conversation you had that afternoon.

Was he/she looking at me longingly across the room today, or was it normal? What was that dream about her about, anyway? No matter the reason, it's time to dig deep for some self-reflection and get to the bottom of your relationship. Are you potential lovers, or just the best of friends?

Sure, your friend may not be perfect, but you don't worry too much if he or she rolls with the wrong crowd, drinks too much, or just gets him or herself into a stupid situation.

You'll care somewhat, because you're good friends, but you won't go out of your way to try to make your friend change, or to discuss every little thing that you disapprove of. Usually, you'll find it kinda funny. You're just friends, and you recognize that the other person isn't perfect, just like you.
