The versatile egg – to eat and to use in food items

Different uses of egg

The versatile egg can be eaten in many forms and  used in countless food and other products. . 

–   Some just boil the egg. But it is boiled at different levels. Some prefer full boiled and some partial. The common factor is pepper and salt is added to taste. 

–   Fried eggs have their own versions. Some fry them with sunny side up and some fry  both sides. Here again the common factor is that pepper and salt to taste. 

–   Scrambled eggs are a favourite of many. The egg is beaten up thoroughly and dropped little at a time to the mixture that cooks on the gas which has chopped onion fried till golden brown, chopped chilies, a good amount of well cooked chopped tomatoes. To this mixture chopped coriander leaves and salt to taste is added. 

This goes well with bread, toast or chapattis. 

–   Crumpet is another form of preparation where everything from cheese, onions, green chilies, tomatoes and salt to to taste are all mixed together along with well beaten eggs and fried in a frying pan. 

–  Poached eggs are the favourite of many. They can be poached either in plain water or milk. 

–  Boiled Eggs could be added to gravies that are eaten with rice. 

  Eggs have a binding factor and they come in useful while making cutlets, chops and patties. 

–  All the cakes on earth have eggs in them. 

–  Souffles use the white portions

-Then there is the French toast where bread slices are dipped  in  milk to which a flavouring, sugar and the beaten egg is added. This bread is then shallow friend

  Some apply the beaten egg white of the egg to their hair instead of shampoo. Reports have it that the hair grows well with egg shampoo.

–  Lung congestion can be cured when  beaten egg is added to hot milk and brandy and taken for a few days. 

Those who do not eat eggs do not know what they are missing.
