Now, we shall discuss the most common monetization tool and that is: advertising.
I won’t go deep into what ads are BUT rather discuss the strategy to be used. But first, the limitations.
Yes, Ads will actually lead you to hell (often literally). I will explain why
1. They are slow: You want to make money and ads will give you nothing. You provide them 1000 visitors and expect no more than 10$ in return. You can make 10 times that by selling your own products.
2. They are evil: Don’t get confused. You don’t know which ad will come on your website when. If the ads on your website are unpleasant to your audience, YOU get blacklisted by your own audience.
3. They murder you & your audience: No, not literally. In fact most of the ads increase website’s loading time and some of them put unnecessary pressure on the visitor’s RAM. To tackle it, most people use adblockers and once they use it, you are dead. If they do not have adblockers, then they will stop visiting you. Either way, YOU pay for it.
4. You are forced to become their slave: Every single ad website out there is an organization. You are making your website how Google Adsense / Yahoo Media.Net / AOL Adserver etc. told you to make. You cannot do anything what you want to do, rather you should do everything which these companies tell you to do.
5. Ads = Sword on your head: Suppose you are doing something important. Suddenly, someone puts a sword on your head – what will you do now? You will stop your work and look at the sword. That’s exactly what ads want. You have to test them and see how they look like and then you decide whether to use them OR let them go.
Sounds enough of bashing. However, there are some facts to be known.
1. You can never imagine a beginner making money without using ads: There are other ways to monetize blogs (affiliate marketing, selling own products etc.) but none of them works unless you prove to your audience that they should trust you. Ads are the only way to make money for just a blog under scratch.
2. Ad industry is good for such companies: Make no mistake, 21% of Google Revenue comes through Adsense alone. Media.net accounts for 15% revenue of Yahoo and Microsoft.
As a beginner, you want to make some money (dimes). You do not have trusting audience who will purchase your products and you do not know how affiliate marketing works. You decided to use only ads and make some money, however small it is.
Please note: the strategies mentioned here will optimize advertising tricks for you.
Trick 1: Directly tell advertizers to bid for you:
You might wonder how is this possible? You are not having any account on Adsense etc. Instead, you have selected some random spaces and mentioned that those are advertisement spaces.
Now, look for websites in same niche as yours. Most of the time, they have products which can be advertised via you. Contact them and get their opinion. You can also understand what your visitors think and get their preferences. Please note that you need to be fair enough in disclosing your niche, bounce rate, page views and other SEO details. Once they bid for you, you can understand your worth.
For that, you should keep your website’s information handy. There are various tools to get it done. You can refer free tools like Piwik / W3Counter OR paid ones as well.
How is this recommended? You are actually eliminating the need of any middleman. All money advertizers pay is 100% yours (after paying for PayPal fees) and you earn more than Adsense / others.
Trick 2: Use URL Shorteners
As simple as it seems. This is another ad industry. There are various out there in the market. Shorte.st is the best in the market yet.
Please note that URL shorteners will open popups and may not be liked by your audience. Do not shorten all URLs. Shorten only those URLs which are likely to be clicked and are quite relevant to the topic.

I would highly recommend AGAINST using any URL shortener that will cause an ad to display before your reader can visit your page. This is even worse than inline ads because the reader may just close the tab and turn away, rather than going through the ad. People who are concerned about internet security will consider such ads evil. I know I certainly do!

This is very helpful indeed. I've never tried shortening URLs, but this seems like a good option. I will definitely check more about this thing.

earning online is hard adn makeing money from your blogs is the hardest, as you need to work for daily for hours and search for topic and the find good ads company that pay for your region and this and that and some may take more than the half of your earning and lots of issue in paying, its really not easy, i tried to earn for years and non unntil now, though i have 3 ads, still i earned a half dollar in 2 years. its really not the best way for you gals and guys to make money online
