Let’s face it writers block happens to the best of it and it will happen to all of us eventually. For whatever reason we run of out ideas, inspiration, topics, ect. to write about. So what can we do when it happens, how do we unlock ourselves and get out of being stuck?
When once this has happened and we’re stuck we can’t think, focus or come up with anything, now what? I’ve read a lot of articles on this subject and there are some extremely good advice and tips on how we can help ourselves. Some suggest simply taking a break and yes I do agree sometimes a break is what we need. I read one about what they call brainstorming I remember this back in school when we had to write papers and such.
The idea behind brainstorming is to just start writing, write anything that comes to mind it can be a word and sentence whatever it is just start jotting it down. Then once you have written a few things down start aranging the words, sentences in some kind of order.
I call this a play on words it works a lot like the technique mentioned above about brainstorming. However, it works a little differently.
Here’s how this works:
First find a picture that speaks inspiration to you it can be one of your personal photo’s or something you find on the internet.
Next look at the picture you find think about how this picture makes you feel, then start writing about that. Don’t worry about it making sense or being correct. Just write and then after you have written everything you can think of go back and reread what you’ve just written then begin about how you can use that.
Below is one of my examples:

My word list:
nite
mysterical
creatures of the night
magic
spells
playful
whimsical
fairies dancing
And the story begins:
At the cloak of darkness, magical creatures of the night such as fairies and gnomes and the like emerged from their slumber. They we’re attracted by the playful lights that dance on the water. These mysteical playful lights seem to entranced these magical creatures of the night into a whismical spell.

To think we often experiences writer's block so it is a fun way for us to learn how to solve this problem. Mental block sometimes annoying especially when you wanted to write something and yet nothing come to your mind. Your fingers are placed in the keyboard but not moving because of this problem.
I think this is helpful for us writers.
Thank you, Im glad that you enjoyed. I thought this was kind of a fun way to help get those thoughts again.
I love that picture! Thanks for the writing tips too! :)
Great job! :)
These are moments when we do not find any idea to expand. It is common with every writer and I did face the very same.
A good writer never misses any idea that pass by his mind rather he catches that very idea and make good use of it by expanding it.
There are some days when we face that situation but there are some days when we do have a lot of ideas haunting our mind. That is the time to get each and every idea, do write each idea and make good use of it when you do not have any idea. This works in my case.
Nowadays my mind is very fertile and generating a lot of ideas. I am collecting these ideas and making notes of them in a diary that will help me in difficult times. Hope that time did not come but if it comes, I am ready to face it by following certain steps.
