Understanding How to View Being a Senior

As you get older, and you reflect on where you came from, life becomes a kind of drama.   You realise that you are at season 60,  while others have only begun season 19.

You know how the story is going to go, you’ve gone through from Season One to Season Sixty.

You know about first love, you know about children, you know about domestic problems, you know about break ups.   You know where you will reach in your profession and  about houses and apartments and vehicles and what works and what doesn’t.

Those at season 19 have no idea what is going to happen.

They don’t know if they’ll live to see season 60. They don’t know if anyone will ever love them, marry them, if they’ll have children and what those children might be like.

They don’t know if they will be successful in their profession, or fail. They don’t know if their parents will die early or late or tragically.

They may stride about with the confidence and presumption of youth, but they don’t know the next chapter.

Those in season 60 know how the story goes. Know what happens.  They’ve already seen  love and whether it lasts or doesn’t.   They’ve already experienced being a parent and what they did wrong or right.

They know how far they will go in their profession. They know who dies before the next episode.

To prevent ‘spoilers’ those in season 19 will not, under any circumstances listen to those who’ve already watched season 30, much less 60.

Those in season 19 will go forward making mistakes, suffering loss, feeling lost and weak and sometimes happy, unsure what is around the next bend.

So one doesn’t mention the observable truths; that this one’s personality is too prickly, that one doesn’t take others into consideration.   One sits back and watches their own Season 61.

    • Growing old is part of life. And we learn about life as we grow. We learn the right from the wrong the best from the worst. You have to experience thing in order to learn the truth and the right from the wrong. There so many paths to take in life and as we grow we gonna experience alot. We learn how to love better than we did before we learn how to care better than before.we all going to grow old one day and we have to accept it. We can't stay young forever. When you grow old things will begin to get less frustrating, because you know how to deal with and manage things better. We're all gonna make mistakes as we grow. But it only helps us become better people and better at the things we do. So live life to the fullest. Never back down if you can't get something right don't worrie, you'll soon become better and better at what you do..You can't get everything right.

      • The reality is that once one reaches a certain age, few people want to take any advice or guidance and when you blurt out something, either they get angry or play they haven't heard it and make their own mistakes.

    • The old memories are the never ending stories of senior citizen people. There is no dull moment listening to them. My granny at the age 98 always have things to share with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We still hope that she will live longer.

      • You are fortunate to live in a society where Seniors are prized and respected. In other parts of the world, alas, that is not the case.
