UEFA Champions League Barcelona – Juventus predictions

Guess what? It’s time for the elite competition of the UEFA champions league. Today there are 2 matches waiting for kick off at 20:45 PM, the second leg between FC Barcelona – Juventus, where the hungry Catalans are facing the Bianconeris, going all-in today for a hopeful remuntada (comeback) and proceed to the seemingly impossible doors of the semi-finals where Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are the only teams that qualified, and are waiting there for other 2 teams that will be known tonight which those 2 teams will be. And the second match today is between Monaco and Borussia Dortmund, all odds are against Borussia. The Germans will chase an early goal and a possible good result to place them in the semi-finals of this elite competition. Whereas one German team is already out the competition, the shocking fate of Bayern Munich, there is 1 more German team left (Borussia Dortmund) and they should be careful not to end up with the same fate as their biggest rival – Bayern Munich.

But this post is dedicated specifically to Barcelona – Juventus match, as I can proudly say I support Barcelona and I am Barca’s fan since I was 7 years old.

Okay, today Lucho decided to go all-in with placing Roberto as an right back and coming out with a 4-3-3 formation. On the other side of the field, probably Barca’s deadliest side, is the hungry Jordi Alba as a left back, that will surely trouble Juventus’s defense tonight. The rest two center-backs are Pique and Umtiti.  The young talent Umtiti, from when he started playing in the first 11, he is a key player for Barca. There is a fun fact that in all 18 games that Umtiti has started, Barcelona has won all of them.  What is unique and eye-pleasuring today is seeing Barcelona’s midfield. Rakitic – Busquets – Iniesta. All three are prepared for today, and passed successfully the medical test. I think the midfield is the most important thing for scoring a goal, and hopefully these lads today will play at top-class and distribute plenty of goal-scoring chances and assisting our deadliest trio. And lastly, as I said we have our deadly trio forward which looks like this: Neymar – Messi – Suarez.

On the other side of Juventus starting 11, Massimiliano Alegri decided to show up with a 4-2-3-1 formation, which is the deadliest Juventus can offer at the moment. We all know that if Juve decides to defend with all their might and men in the penalty area, the same moment would be over for Barca.  Now for Juventus in the defense we have the former right-back of Barcelona – Dani Alves, which is probably still among the deadliest right backs in the world. It will be sad watching him celebrate against his former team, especially for us Cules. On the other side of the field, there is Alex Sandro, which is so young but talented left back, it will surely cause trouble for our Jordi Alba. Between these two backs we have the 2 legendary iconic men of Juve, accompanying their teammates between the left and right side – Bonucci and Chiellini.  Juventus goalkeeper is the legendary Gianlugi Buffon. The age of these 3 key player should not be deceptive, no matter how it looks on the outside, if their day today is to play at top-form, Barcelona’s attack will surely have trouble finding the net. Especially if Gigi decides to go BEAST MODE: On.

On the midfield of Juventus we have Khedira and Pjanic as defensive midfielders, and on the center line, some distance in front of them, the attacking trio Cuadrado, Dybala and Mario Mandzukic. Barcelona should mark Dybala, we all know that he has the potential to become future Messi. He has been gifted with a talented left leg and he is also Argentinian. it will  be very interesting tonight seeing these two guys facing each other. And finally, as forward in the Juventus first eleven, here is the spirited Higuain that will today probably try to find the net more than every Juve’s player. He has the will to score against Barcelona tonight so badly.  By the way Higuain joined Juventus from Napoli last year.

Okay and finally my prediction is that tonight Barcelona will attack with all their powers, and go all-in as they are playing the probably last UEFA Champions League match this season, they already lost the title, and have no other things to battle for, they will surely pressure Juventus tonight and give them a run for their lives. Never underestimate Barca’s power.

I won’t make a correct score prediction as even I don’t know what to expect tonight. The only thing that WE the FANS will expect is to see an open football in which both sides attack, and the better team goes in the semi finals as deserved in fair play games. I just hope there won’t be other sides influencing the game, and we all know what I mean to..
