What associations for you cause the expression – detoxifying tea? About Pu Erh tea I first heard by reading a book “True Story of tea”. It turns out that this tea, like green and black, is made from the same plant tea tree leaves, but it is matured by long fermentation. For a distinctive taste and healing properties Pu Erh tea in China has already been appreciated in the Tang Dynasty. Pu Erh tea is recommended to drink after a heavy meal, poisoning, it can also be included in the detoxifying diet plans.
Studies show that Pu Erh tea improves metabolism, cleanses the liver, increasing urine output, reducing blood cholesterol levels. Reviews about this tee aroma and its taste, reached my ears were, to say the least, ambiguous. Some said that tea has a pleasant smell and distinctive sweet taste, while others claimed that tea tasteless and stinking. The most impressive response sounded as follows: “Pu Erh tea smells like dirty diapers!”.
Bouquet feedback encouraged to try this tea by my own senses! I chose a ecologic Dragon fly tea manufacturer’s Pu Erh tea bags. It is grown in Yunnan province and is produced through carefully protected technology. I decided to drink Pu Erh tea in the evenings, before going to sleep. I did not look at the fact does tea contains caffeine, to which my body responds very sensitively. Strange, but I do not remember the case that after drinking this tea would have been difficult to sleep. No other health-related phenomenon I also did not notice, but I was not very diligent and drank not every evening.
The taste of this tea for me turn out neither very nasty nor pleasant – reminiscent of a stronger taste herbal teas, but to wormwood flavor is still very far away! Color is intense and dark, almost like coffee. Well, the smell is quite intense and reminds desiccated hay.
Manufacturers Pu Erh tea describe as intriguing and earthly. I think that description is very accurate and I have to admit that every time drinking tea I smell it – it’s really expressive smell is very strange and attractive!

So is that a green or black tea?
I used to drink a green tea. Each bag can be used up to 10 cups. What I do is after I have teeped the tea bag for 5 minutes in a cup of hot water, I let it cool down and put it in a cup , cover it and put it on the refrigerator for the next use, until 10 cups.
Each time I will use it, I simply take it out from the refrigerator and pour a very hot water over it and let it teep for 5 minutes then drink it.
My green tea has the brand of Wachichao and is very potent and so nice tasting. It has a literature in the box of 10. It can reduce cholesterol, blood sugar, anti-cancer, a dueretic and a lot more health benefits. I drink at least 3 cups a day.
However, I stopped drinking when I noticed it made my denture yellowish.
