The Truth About Diets and Dieting

Many years ago my sister had a fat friend.  I mean she was really fat.  She was really fat and we were thin and she said she wanted to lose weight.

I gave her a diet plan. Within two weeks she lost a lot of weight.   A lot.

Then, she put it back on.

She told me she had abandoned the diet because:

“If I look good people might just like me for my looks..” she said.

You’ve all seen Oprah and Kristie Alley lose pounds and pounds, then put them back on becoming as fat or fatter than they were when they started.

I recall hearing their explanation but in went in my right ear and out my left.

The only thing I ever heard that made sense to me was when a fat guy who was constantly taking high colonics and going on weird diets, (for over a decade) said to me;

“Food is Love.  Eating makes me feel loved.”

When that is your mind set, it’s no wonder you eat until you explode.

As a person who has always been the same size, I have, on occasion put on weight.  I got pregnant.

In six weeks I was almost back to my pre-pregnancy size.  In three months I didn’t have an extra ounce.

Why?

I didn’t eat for two, and as soon as I had the baby I started exercising and cutting down on my intake.  Not that I ever ate that much.

This is because food is not love.  Eating doesn’t make me feel loved, and no matter how good I cook, how delicious my food, this portion, this small portion is enough.

I don’t eat junk.   I don’t even like to look at junk food.  Firstly, I know what’s in it… junk.

A ‘Beef’ burger?  Sure, some crappy chopped meat, a lot of pink slime, a pile of chemicals, and some reused nasty hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Fried Chicken?  An estrogen fed machine hen which is rolled in confectioner’s sugar then a pile of stale bread and fried in the same reused hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Hot dog?  Over processed trash meat with more chemicals than a lab, boiled in a pot, then fried in reused vegetable oil and popped on a bun.

My dogs ate healthier.

I don’t eat that stuff.  So I don’t have to worry about all the rubbish I’m stuffing to constipate my system.

If I gain weight, I fast and I wash out until my clothes fit me today as they did yesterday.

This is because food is not love nor does it make me feel loved when I’m swallowing it.

The problem most people have is their over input of food and their lack of physical movement.

Sure they sit all day, and do no exercise.  So, as soon as the pants they wore last week are too tight, instead of fasting and taking a washout to lose the weight, they buy another pair of pants.

You don’t need pills and regimes and spending half a day at a gym.  Eat less.  Eat less and eat better.
