This is for Those with a Passion for Travel

I have been travelling far and  wide since the last few years. Travelling is a passion with me. While there is no end to what there is to see in  any country there are a few sights and experiences that I have had that stand out and here are a few.

Kashmir

Never miss that sound and light show. You feel you are experiencing what happened centuries ago.

Nepal

That flight taking you close to the Himalayas is worth experiencing

Darjeeling

Sunrise at Tiger Hill. To watch those first rays hitting the Himalayas is worth all the time and money spent to be there

Mysore

Taking a stroll in the Brindavan Gardens at dusk when the colourful fountains are lit is something that will get etched in one’s memory

Jabalpur

That boat ride in the River Narmada that is skirted by those white rocks is a vision not easy to forget

Kanyakumari

This is where the three seas meet and also the sunrises and sets at the same point.

Agra

The Taj Mahal is a site known globally. One goes to Agra chiefly to visit this historic monument

Singapore

The Orchids garden is an international marvel where one can get broaches embeded with real orchids.

Bangkok

If one wants to taste Pasta this is where you get the best  and that too under ‘street food’

Bahamas Cruise

The white sands of the Cococay beach strikes you in the eye.

Switzerland

The Ice Palace carved  on the snow clad JungFrau – a part of the Alps – should be experienced to know what it is

Paris

The  boat ride by night on the river Seine  shows  you around P aris – a panoramic view

Italy

Those pigeons all over me and eating off my  hands sitting on my  shoulders is something I will never forget

USA

The Maid of the Mist experience when you go close to the Niagara Falls wearing those blue rain coats needs to be recorded and experienced in one’s quiet moments back home.

Canada

A visit to the Niagara Falls in the night when they are lit with colourful lights at the same time weathering the cold for me was a rare and memorable experience

Amsterdam

That Canal Ride that took me round Amsterdam satisfied me not wanting to spend more time in that city.  The ride has it all

London

Posing with my favourite writer Barbara Cartland in that Wax Museum almost made me feel that I was with her and exchanging a smile

Brussels

Looking at that point from where that architect fell to his death intentionally – years gone by –  just because that building had faults,  made me want to meet that architect and shake hands with him,  as I would do the same.

Australia

Sydney by night taking a ride on the boat just made me click away – something to remind me rest of my life

New Zealand

I never believed there would be a waterfall right in the middle of the sea until I saw it,experiencing the Milford Sound

These are just tips of the iceberg so to say. Each place I visited had loads of sights that we enjoyed. Every country has enough for tourists to see that will take years. But joining conducted package tours has a some semblance of order covering  noteworthy sites.

    • I don't have a passion for travel any more since my husband got sick. But if I did, I'd be happy to visit all of those destinations you named.

      • I had to put a brake on my travel after that accident in the year 2006. My last holiday was in 2005 Australia and New Zealand.

Hope someday your dream will be fulfilled.
