The Malignant Ailment of Men called Prostate Cancer

My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer when he reached the age of about 65. As to symptom, he had difficulty in urinating, meaning he would feel like urinating but it would come out after some time.

The doctor said he only have 5 years to live from that time. But he is still alive and he is already 84 years old.

How he survived it? Actually, when it was discovered that he have prostate cancer, he went on medication for oral anti-cancer pill for about a year , until he met a Filipino alternative doctor who came from the US.

He first have a consultation with his urologist and found out that he is still with the prostate cancer, before he followed the advise of the alternative doctor.

As part of the healthy regimen that the alternative doctor told him to do, he had a coffee enema, everyday in the morning. Then at night, he have another kind of enema of which I forgot already what kind was it.

When he started doing the enemas, everyday, morning and evening, his facial skin started to glow and became pinkish. He became stronger and active.

He was made to eat mostly fruits, though in moderation since he is diabetic even until now. Vegetables and fish were mostly was he was told to eat. Sometimes he eats meat but only the lean parts.

He was made to avoid processed foods and canned goods.

He was also made to buy those probiotics and took them religiously. He was made to have his morning and afternoon brisk walk everyday around the front and back yard.

After a year, he again had himself checked up by the doctor and found out that he was already cancer free and still lives.

About after 10 years after my father had prostate cancer, my father-in-law, one day while urinating in the bathroom, suddenly got so weak and cannot walk anymore. He shouted for help for my husband and brother-in-law and they helped him to get out from the bathroom .

He was at that time so fat, at 250 pounds. So you can just imagine how difficult it was for my husband and brother-in-law to carry him to his bedroom.

Since then, he became bedridden.

In a few days, he was carried by an ambulance to the hospital to be tested.

He too had prostate cancer. No symptom at all. Just like that, so sudden.

We hired a van and took him to Manila for magnetic resonance imaging scan. There, it was discovered that his cancer cells have also already invaded his spinal column, thus that is why he was bedridden since then.

Suddenly too, he lacked the appetite to eat and became very thin like skin and bones already.

He took his anti-cancer pills religiously. After some months he regained some strength and he had a physical therapist go to the house thrice a week for his physical therapy. After about 7 months , he was able to at least stand up from his bed already.

Slowly he regained the appetite to eat and finally was able to walk with the aid of a walker.

He became cancer free for some months but then, it came back. But at least he can now walk with the aid of a walker though slowly because of his arthritis. He still takes his anti-cancer medication.

It is said that men should have themselves checked for prostate problem when they reach their 40’s. Early detection can help you survive prostate cancer.

Although, there are already lots of men who died of prostate cancer.

So, men please be warned and have yourself checked. Prevention is better than cure as the health experts say.

    • Your family made the right decision to consult an alternative doctor. Congrats, your father and father-in-law are still fine in spite of past medical conditions.

      • Indeed, we were so happy they both survived.

Although, my father-in-law is still being made to take the anti-cancer pill. He is a stubborn man, would eat even when being told to stop because he has taken enough. So, he is back to having big belly and fat.

Unlike my father, who really followed what his alternative doctor has advised him.

I would always tell my father-in-law of what to do basing on what my father has been advised by his alternative doctor, but to no avail. Well, anyway , at least I have done my part of admonishing him about his ailment. It's up to him now, if he still wants to live longer or not.

    • Good to hear your father and father in law is doing well, even though the first doctor said your father would only live just five years. You all proved him wrong!

      • That's why when we are told that we have cancer, we should not lose hope. We should just follow what the doctor advises, take the medication and change our lifestyles.

Actually, it is our positive attitude that can help us to battle it. Worrying will stress us and aggravate the cancer, since it is said that stress can make us sick much more have cancer.

    • I have read many times that prostate cancer is increasing in numbers every year and takes first place in the statistics of a men cancers. Your father case shows that men can fight with this illness and win a battle. Long life for your dad.

      • @Fortune Yes, it is already an ailment that they said is already becoming common amongst men who reaches the age of 40 and above. It is the counterpart of the breast cancer in women.

That's why men, should have themselves checked for it when they reach 40 and above.

Actually, my husband had himself checked and it was discovered that he has an enlarged prostate, although not cancerous. This enlargement of his prostate is what makes him frequently urinate.

No medication was given to him. So, he submits to a check-up on it on a yearly basis. So far it is still the same , no increase in the enlarged size. I hope and pray it will just stay that way.
