Everyone has their own favorite desserts or snacks. Now, I want to talk about the two favorite desserts I always wanted to be on the dining table beside my regular meals and one of my traditional summer time snacks aside from the usual ice cream. One is the PINEAPPLE AND BANANA SORBET and the COCONUT MILK MILKSHAKES.
To build muscle, eat fresh pineapples! Not only is pineapple high in Vitamin C to speed up muscle recovery, it also contains bromelain, which helps with protein digestion and reduces muscle inflammation.
The banana in this tasty sorbet is added as an extra muscle-building agent and as the K-factor (K for potassium). Bananas are great in maintaining optimum glycogen levels in the body. Glycogen is glucose in stored form, and the presence of these in the muscle tissues means the protein reserves do not have to be used for energy generation.
You can make a delicious pineapple and banana sorbet by blending pineapple chunks with banana, lime juice, and sugar and then chilling the mixture for three hours. Afterward, place the mixture in an ice cream maker. Store the mixture in the freezer.
This is I suppose good to ingest after playing your favorite strenuous athletic activity like soccer, volleyball, or basketball.
Coconut milk milkshake is a great treat since it provides a muscle-toning twist. Coconut milk contributes in keeping your muscles in its optimum condition. It is high in magnesium, which helps reduce muscle soreness after exercise. It is also high in phosphorus, which works together with calcium to increase bone strength.
Making coconut milk milkshake is easy. All you need is a fresh extract of coconut milk (kakanggata- our Filipino term), banana, vanilla, some ice cubes, and honey for sweetening factor. Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix them well.
Of course, you can try other combinations of ingredients to come up with a refreshing and nourishing coconut milk milkshake. Also, try other energy-giving fruits that are in season.

Great article. These drinks looks what the doctor ordered. It looks tasty. Coconut has been one of my favorites. I might try it especially since it is good for the muscles. Fruits and vegetables have hidden curative powers that can benefit the body. I would rather drink this than a regular milkshake at a fast food store. I am going to try to post this in my Facebook account to share with others. Thank you for writing a great article.
Thank you for the complement. Anyways, sir, you are right about how beneficial fruits and vegetables are to our body.
Vegetables and fruits are an important part of a healthy diet, and variety is as important as quantity.
Regarding coconuts and coconut milk have traditionally gotten a bad rap due to its high saturated fat levels. However, island populations around the world have used the fruit's meat juice, milk and oil in everything from cooking to disease prevention. Furthermore, the unique fatty acids in coconut milk may aid weight loss, improve immune function, reduce heart disease risk and improve skin and hair health.
Weight Loss
This research has revealed that not eating enough fat can actually make you fat. According to Bruce Fife, N.D. in his article "The Fat that Can Make You Thin," people who include more healthy fats in their diet, such as the medium-chain triglycerides in coconut milk, eat less than those who don't get enough fat. While all fats help the body feel full and satiate the brain receptors that control appetite, the fat in coconut milk may increase metabolism and perhaps increase weight loss on a reduced-calorie diet.

Immune System Health
Coconut milk contains lauric acid, antimicrobial lipids and capric acid, which have antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. The body converts lauric acid into monolaurin, which may fight the viruses and bacteria that cause herpes, influenza and even HIV. According to a study led by Dr. Gilda Sapphire Erguiza, a pediatric pulmonologist at the Philippine Children's Medical Center in Quezon City, children with pneumonia who were treated with antibiotics and coconut oil benefited more than those taking the antibiotic alone.

Heart Disease
The medium-chain saturated fatty acids in coconut milk may also improve heart health. A study in "Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition" showed that Filipino women who ate more coconut oil had healthier blood lipid profiles, a major determinant of heart disease. The medium-chain fatty acids in coconut milk may also kill the three major types of atherogenic organisms -- bacteria that cause plaque formation in the arteries -- that may lead to heart disease.
Healthy Skin and Hair
Coconut milk is highly nutritious when ingested, and these nutrients may help fortify and condition skin and hair as well. The fatty acids in coconut milk are a natural antiseptic and may help treat dandruff, skin infections, wounds and dry, itchy skin. Furthermore, the high fatty acid content in coconut milk serves as a natural moisturizer for healthy skin and may help repair wrinkles and sagging in aging skin.
i like coconut milk but for sesert i use normal milk,, treat without normal milk is not as tasty as with coconut milk, i like coconut milk only with juices and with cooking at times, but not all the time, thaks for the post, its amaiznig and did nto knwo that its nutritious as i do know, now, moisturizes that are from coconut milk do feels better, but the cream i tried and bought because of the coconut milk in it was smelling nice, do make skin soft but that is it, does not affect wrinkles at all, not even soften it, i guess we have to accept that wrinkles are there and are not disappearing no matter what we do to it, life is moving forwar not back and we are
