Health is a superior concept that includes aspects of physical, mental, intellectual, social and spiritual, all in close contact and dependence, which contributes to our well being and balance. Living in the century of speed, always preoccupied with work and worry, we often forget our health. After a while, however, we find that we are stressed, tired or sick, lack of enthusiasm, joy and zest for life, and the disease is soon to set in. It is much easier to predict than to treat. Therefore we should take better care of us and try to create a balance in everything that we do.
All of us must do a minimum of daily physical activity to provide the necessary conditions for the body to function correctly. We must also be careful as to what we eat and try to avoid eating prepared and preserved foods as much as possible and eat only natural and fresh food neither too much nor too little. Excess of any kind is not good for the health. On the contrary, deprivation of good things is what prevents us to have a healthy body. What is good health is a question to think about most often only when we find that we just lost it.
In those moments of lost health only we become conscious that we should do everything possible to regain our lost health. We must also be aware (sometimes very acute) about our sense of helplessness. Depending on the physical or mental pain or ill-health in us that cause the disease can occur when the world around us looks from a different point of view. Things considered before as indispensable or priority becomes insignificant, even childish, others who seemed to be of our likes and that for granted suddenly become very important and complex.
In some severe cases, when we learn about some major risks or the negative prospects of the disease, our life itself may get a completely different turn. Clearly we see the world with new eyes. At first glance on the surface, we feel ‘sick eyes’, but the reality is that however many people feel when we are more lively, events around us has a different flavor, importance or significance. We support and become more open to other people, more aware of the importance of attention and care we receive especially from loved ones. Our turn becomes benevolent, gentler, and more attentive.
And to others, perhaps more humble and without any doubt for some of us may be for the first time in our life that we know what we really want in our life without any doubt. We want to be healthy in the first place. Some people want it quickly and for others by any means and efforts and still for a few others as more full. But one thing is certain – when we understand, we all, in depth, what popular wisdom has recorded a long time ago, as an adage, ‘A healthy beggar is happier than a sick king’.

I feel that health is the most important thing in life. we run for money but we forget to pay attention to what our body has to say
Everyone must have the concept of health from the very beginning because health is wealth and health is God's blessing on earth. ‘Health’ is an elusive word. Most people who consider themselves healthy are not. And many people who are suffering from some known disease, may be relatively healthy.
Health is a concept which does not merely relate to the absence of disease, of healthy working of organs, or having good thoughts. Health is a holistic concept. It relates to a person as a whole. Not just the person you see, but also the person you ‘feel’. Health is a tri-une of three parts:
This is probably the easiest to define and yet it is sometimes the most difficult to understand. Physical health can be defined as a state in which all the body parts are anatomically intact and are performing their physiological functions perfectly and harmoniously. It is a very simplistic definition, but it basically covers everything like:
All the body parts should be there
All of them are in their natural place and position
None of them has any pathology
All of them are doing their physiological functions properly
And they work with each other harmoniously
Yes everyone in the world takes ones health for granted since childhood. The concept that our body is a machine and has to be taken care well is not taught and highlighted. And this leads many to neglect their health by taking the same for granted. Till the time they land into some health issue or the other.
They seem to realize the value of their health only after the damage has been done and it is irreversible. Till that time people feel such things happen to others and not to me as I have never had any health issues in my life till now. This careless attitude is what is inviting health problems to oneself. Many also neglect or never care the messages which our body gives that something is really bad with our body and needs to be attended to. Till the time it crashes they keep continuing with it. A well written article to be read once in a few days by all.
