Everyone the world over is concerned about how to save energy which has now become a rare commodity. There is over consumption everywhere and efforts are on at every nook and corner to find out ways and means to cut down consumption and save as much energy as possible.
Saving of energy is possible in several areas and with a bit of management this can be made possible. A proper monitoring of energy consumption is the order of the day. It is good news that awareness has set in at all quarters be it in homes, offices, hotels, parks – the works.
No doubt there are countless areas where conservation of energy can be seen but what stands out as having huge scope of saving energy is the use of T5 lighting in place of high intensity discharge lighting which is seen in commercial settings and homes alike. There is a big opening here and if this change is implemented a huge energy saving would be visible all through the world.
The T5 lighting is fluorescent lighting. T stands for tubular the shape of the light and 5 is the diameter which is five parts of an inch unlike the T8 and others being larger but with good intensity.
T5 lighting entered the market in the nineties, initially in the US. Now most countries have this lighting system. Converting T8 into T5 lighting however requires some technical knowhow and researchers are already working on this and will soon come out with programmes to implement this conversion.
Another advantage with the T5 lighting is that these bulbs or globes last a long time and they are always backed with guarantee – indeed a good saving for the consumer. The light emanating from these t5 lighting bulbs or globes is soothing to the eyes
There is not only a big scope for business here as every nook and corner of the world has HID lighting, but also with this conversion to T5 lighting the electricity bill will come to half – a huge saving indeed for the consumer
T5 lighting is here to stay and the sooner it is understood how valuable this conversion would be the better it would be for the whole world
