This is my first attempt in making Orange Yogurt Mix and I am pleased to say that this yogurt dessert taste as good as any restaurant dessert on the menu!
Honestly, dining out isn’t cheap nowadays.
Everything is going up, especially food serve in restaurants.
The cheapest dessert cost $8 while hot beverage cost $6.
These dessert served are similar to homemade dessert while the only difference is the decorative ingredients used to sprinkle on top.
You may notice that extra toppings such as melted chocolate syrups, chopped roasted peanuts, hazelnuts sprinkled on top the dessert.
I love those extra toppings that sometimes I moaned how little were given.
Hence, I might as well learn how to make homemade cold dessert to save money and improve my culinary skills.
Furthermore, I could add in extra toppings for my kids who loved them very much.
You may also call this a healthy dessert which will certainly attract your children sweet taste buds and even adults.
Orange is high in vitamin C, helps to boost your kids immune system and to protect them from falling sick easily.
Yogurt contains friendly bacteria which helps to improve and regulate your kids bowel movements especially they experience constipation often.
Although this dessert uses original yogurt, it doesn’t taste bland at all.
You can expect a sweet and tingling cold dessert which is so smooth, delicious that you might mistaken it as a sweet pudding instead.
This is a very easy method to make a nicely blend yogurt mix that taste almost like a smoothie too.
You can either mix the ingredients together with a whisk or blend them in a food processor.
– original flavor is bland, easier to combine with fresh fruit flavor and juice.
– original flavor is cheaper then mixed yogurt
-original flavor gives a white smooth yogurt color, when mix with orange juice, produces a beautiful swirl pattern
-Choose “Live Active Yogurt Culture” on the label
-Choose original yogurt flavor
-Choose longer expiry date
-Buy sufficient yogurt, don’t buy in bulk because yogurt will taste sour before it expires
-Once yogurt tub is open, use up the remainder yogurt content in the same day
Honey- replace it with melted brown sugar, maple syrup or Golden syrup
Orange- replace with any fresh slice fruits ( apple, grapes, mango, pineapple, apricot)
Grape Wine- replace with cointreau, orange juice, fruit juice
-1 tub of original yogurt
-4 tbsp honey
-2 Mandarin orange or Sunkist Oranges
-1 tsp grated orange peel
-2 tbsp Grape Wine
-4 scoops vanilla ice-creams
