How To Supplement Income While Living On A Million Dollars

In my last two articles, I concentrated on how to survive on a million dollars by investing a portion of it and how to live frugally by saving money in different ways. In this article, I would like to concentrate on how to supplement my income while living on a million dollars. I have a few different ways in which I supplement my income now and see no reason why I would not continue to do so even if I had a million dollars. In this economy, a million dollars would probably not carry my family to far into the future without putting in a little time and energy into working. However, I would rather not have a regular 9 to 5 job.

I would want the freedom to set my own hours instead of being required to work specified hours for someone else. One way I could set my own hours would be having my own business and being my own boss. There are many businesses that I could start that would require little money up front, but I could also come up with a business offering much needed services that are lacking in my community. I do not have much experience with freelance work, so I would have to come up with something that would involve my area of personal or work experience.

Working online could also help me to supplement my income and is a way that I use now. I have only been working online for a few months now, but I have found some trustworthy sites that allow me to make an income each month. Some of these include Paid To Click or PTC sites. Between the three of them that I use, I could generate enough money to cover my cell phone bill for each month.

Another form of online work that I would keep using is Paid To Post or PTP sites. I really like the interaction with other online people and find some of the forums very interesting. Learning more about different avenues of online earnings from the various forums I post on helps me to find new methods to earn online. Getting paid to post on forums could possibly generate enough income to cover the out of pocket expenses of my family’s medications.

My newest form of online income which I would definitely continue doing even if I had a million dollars would be getting paid to write on social blogging sites. There are a few to choose from and they are a matter of personal choice as to which one to work on. I like being in the forums and learning new writing techniques and other ways to write to earn money. This is great practice for when I want to try my hand at my own monetized blog.

My last way to supplement my income would be to sell items on a popular auction site. I have had much luck with this in the past and feel that it would account for the largest portion of my online income. I could easily earn enough money to cover health insurance for my family each month. Finding the right items to sell would take some time and energy, but in the long run would be most beneficial to me.

Investing, living frugally, and supplementing my income would make it much easier for me and my family to survive on a million dollars for a long time. My family and I would be happy, comfortable, and content living in a manner that would not have us blowing through the million dollars in a short time.
