Female ‘stars’ have the same over blown ego that males do. They think they are special, super, and can say and do what they want.
They get a role on a television program or in a movie, get attention and it goes to their heads.
Some think they should have larger roles, some think they should be paid more. Some make enemies. Unlike males they aren’t often seduced by gold diggers of the male version as they are used to men wanting them.
When they are on hit television series they think they are ‘holding themselves back’ so leave for motion pictures and enter oblivion.
When they get a good review in a movie they think they are super stars and become fussy. Then disappear.
Logic would predict that if you are on a widely watched drama playing a role that people like, you stay there until the show ends. Logic would predict that if you leave you make sure you can return. And you don’t leave for a year. For in that year, the fans will migrate.
Logic would dictate that if one got a good review in a movie they would be grateful and not a ‘one off’, but they aren’t. They think they are super stars and so dissolve like dust, and no one remembers them.
Some go for cosmetic surgery and lose their unique look and their jobs. Some don’t appreciate their age and think they can still play the femme fatale when the only role they can get is as the mother.
Unlike other jobs, an actress has to catch and keep the eye. Whether she does it by looks, comedy, compassion, she better know and work on it.
If they have a certain cache, they aren’t to spoil it. If the public thinks they are sweet and decent then better keep their private life that way. If they want to drink, take drugs and be wild, the public loses interest in them.
Some try to redeem themselves by doing all sorts of public service, but once they’ve rolled in the gutter, the public doesn’t forget.
Those who don’t over do the fame thing tend to last until their expiry dates. Those who start their snobbery too early end there.
