The stomach pain and the lesson that was learnt

(A story inspired by a child book with a certain Dr BumbleBee as the main character)
Once upon a time there lived a little bear named Brakoz and his friend Tamkol Elephant somewhere in a countryside in Bulgaria.
It was Autumn time, and the hot season and the rains had come and gone. The weather was pleasant and the sun came out in full flow.
Brakoz and Tamkol woke up and decided to go out and enjoy the sun, the trees and the river flowing near their house.
They spotted many butterflies, bees, pigeons, mynhas, woodpecker etc.
They then came near a tree full of Oranges.

Tamkol ‘ Let us eat some oranges.’
‘Yes Tamkol but first we ought to have clean our hands with soap.’
‘No, Brakoz, I can’t wait to eat them.’
‘Tamkol, its in your benefit to eat the fruits after washing your hands. Anyways, I am going to wash my hands.’

Brakoz goes away but the elephant who even with his small height tried to climb up the tree.
He could not climb up much, but he spotted his friend crow, who just stopped by to say hello.

‘Caw, caw, what are you looking for, Tamkol?’
Tamkol told him that he wanted to get some Oranges and asked the crow for help.
The crow somehow gets hold of a few oranges and Tamkol starts relishing the oranges.
In some time, Brakoz also comes and he climbs the tree and gets some oranges for himself.
They both then have a round around the area, and go for an afternoon sleep to their house.

While laying down, Tamkol gets a severe pain in his stomach and tells Brakoz.
Brakoz then calls Dr. Bibloo Bear who comes with his full doctor kit.

After inspecting, the doctor asks Tamkol if he had eaten something without washing his hands. Tamkol says yes he did so.
The doctor scolds Tamkol and asks him never to do so again.
The doctor then gives a medicine and an injection to Tamkol and asks him to take rest.
Once the doctor goes, Brakoz reminds Tamkol that he had advised him not to eat before washing his hands with soap.
Tamkol promises never to do so again.

So friends, do not eat your food before washing your hands thoroughly with soap(and a liquid soap is preferable).

    • Hand washing is the basic thing that we need to do. We can't let our body be in pain. I still remember when I had my mission in an isolated country. The root cause of the spread of the poliovirus is not washing their hands before eating some food.

The isolated country's people refused to change their bad habit in using bare hands, especially if selling to the locals. In fact, we can't be sure if the seller didn't wash their hands.

The course of action of the Ministry of Health in that country is to impose the importance of hand washing and boiled their tap water before drinking it. Since some of these people directly drink from the source of water.

    • very good story for my boy, he has the bad habit of not washing his hands before eating, which I had to scream at him when he begins touching food

    • Thanks @peachpurple it is very tough at times to persuade young kids to always wash their hands with soap. They have to be peacefully asked, cuddled and at times shouted at to do so.

@shavkat Indeed, as has been my personal experience, with kids as well as with elders, the more we wash hands with soaps even before eating a small thing like a small fruit or chocolate, and as I read and hear in news, the less infections and diseases we have.
I believe that soaps and hand sanitizers ought to be tax-free all over the world, and such kits should be distributed freely everywhere.
      Thanks a lot.
