Start a gratitude journal today!

I wrote a blog post in LiteracyBase about being thankful for waking up yesterday, and I also wrote down my action plan to help me practicing thankfulness.

When I was still writing in Bubblews, a member has started this gratitude challenge. We joined the challenge and wrote about what we are grateful for every day. I made it a habit to write the journal everyday, and it really helped me to be grateful for everything that has happened to me. Of course, there were certainly some challenges in my life, but when I was writing my gratitude journal for the day, it helped me to be thankful. The challenges became something I was thankful for, as I could see a clearer picture, and it always helped me to see where the underlying problem actually was, and how I could solve it. So, the gratitude journal entries I wrote in Bubblews daily really help to remind me to be grateful for everything, and allow me to grow and think positively as well.

This morning when I got up, I said thank you to the universe, to myself, to my children and I also sought for my inner self and thank her for being here with me all the time. Then I went down stair and thought of grabbing a notebook to write down 3 things I am thankful for. I think it’s good to get a gratitude journal for myself, and write down my gratitude every day. I have read about this concept online for quite a long time, but after leaving Bubblews, I didn’t write much about my gratitude.

After thinking for some time, I decided to create a blog and treat it as my gratitude journal. I would like to post it online because it’s easier to search for any particular dates in future, and I can also access it everywhere I want. I would also like to share some useful information or quotes about gratitude in my gratitude journal. Moreover, it might help to inspire others or I might be inspired by others as well.

So this morning I have been busy setting up my gratitude journal in Blogger. I have also looked for a simple and clean template for my journal, and also wrote three simple posts there, including my today’s gratitude journal entry. I also made some beautiful images with simple to use image tool for my posts. I am grateful for the previous post I wrote in LiteracyBase gave me this idea and motivation to start my gratitude journal, and I am thankful for myself being worked so hard for this journal. I am happy with these.

    • Why would you mention Bubblews, that page is dead like for billion years?
Yes, I noticed that posts in here are more or less rants, but there are also a lots of other things to get noticed.

      • Though Bubblews has closed down, it's where I started my gratitude journal entries, that's why I mentioned it. I didn't mean to draw attention to it, but I wouldn't avoid talking about it too. I am actually still grateful for Bubblews, as I have learned a lot from there and earned quite some money from there as well, though there were some missing payments at last.

I haven't really spend much time reading the blog posts here yet, though I should, I am still spending more time in the forums. I guess we are here to share about our life and thoughts, that's what blogging is for. Hope you will find some posts you like to read as well. :)

    • I think that is a great idea to have a gratitude journal. I think that we take too many things for granted and get lost in the busy daily lifestyle that most people have. Having a gratitude journal would help us to stop and think about the good things that are in our lives and to appreciate them more.

      • Yes, sometimes we are just too busy and forget to stop and think. I am grateful for my children, as they are the ones who really taught me how to stop and explore the beauty in the nature or anything surrounding us. Everything, everyone can really be our teachers. How fortunate we are to live in this world, and there are many lessons for us to learn as well.

Let's stop and smell the roses. :)

    • @kaka135 I have been writing in my gratitude journal for last 5-6 years. I used to write daily gratitude in some of the writing sites I have worked on. Gratitude is the best attitude. It helps me in staying thankful for everything I am blessed with.

      • It's good that you are interested in blogging. You will be able to find some good resources and even good bloggers from the site. Take some time to look around in the forums, and also start blogging! Hope you will enjoy it. :)

    • The journal itself is the word variance of "diurnal" meaning daily. Since I was studying in high school, I had already kept a mini diary. I entered everyday of my undertakings good or bad. After a year, my diary was a little book of my life. I really love documenting what I am doing everyday not only for myself by for my family.

In fact, I have still kept my diary of 1968. It was already 48 years. I am amused and sometimes feel emotional when I come across with those problems I have encountered with my parents, with my high school sweetheart, especially when we had broken up our relationship.
