South Africa Beat Bangladesh in 1st ODI of series,2015

South Africa was scheduled to play a 3 Match ONE DAY International Series in Bangladesh in 2015. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series. The 1st ONE DAY international match was to be played on Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh on 10th July, 2015. South Africa already won the 2 match T 20 series earlier.

Bangladesh batted poorly and was able to post total of only 160 runs in 36.3 over’s and was bowled out and with top scores of Bangladesh Star batsman and All rounder S A Hasan who made 48 runs in 51 balls with 5 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 94 runs in 100 balls and N hossain who made 31 runs in 44 balls with 3 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 70 runs in 100 balls.

South Africa was needed to score 161 runs in 50 over’s to win this match and to take lead in this series of 3 One Day international Matches 1-0.

South Africa batted very well and was able to chase this total of 161 runs in 31.1 over’s at the loss of only 2 wickets and  top scored by South African star batsman F D Plesis who made unbeaten 63 runs in 75 balls with 7 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 84 runs in 100 balls.

South Africa won the match by 8 wickets and lead the series 1-0 with 2 more games to play.
