Go on a long drive if possible as the change of scenery especially if the place is scenic plays a positive role on the mind and helps you change your moods and get the situation back to normal. Go to a water body, it may be a lake, a pond, a river or even a ocean keep looking at the water and the ripples and also try to look at the aquatic life and the winged friends at work there, see the different varieties of birds you are able to spot and observe them keenly. This intense focusing   by your mind helps it destress a bit. This too has to be done at least thrice to four days a week. The more time one spends the better it is as change in weather also plays a role in the therapy.

 

Spoil yourself, be selfish and indulge in a party for yourself at a very good restaurant eat exotic food sumptuously and spend a good time at the restaurant. If the same is at a terrace and you have a aerial view of the city down it helps in the therapy. Spend considerable time there and do not hurry up. As doing that does not help the process.

 

You can also choose a good spa and choose the best massage therapy there. It helps you get rid of the tension in the muscles of the body and the neck and makes you body flexible and supple. The oils being used also have a special effect on the blood flow and the mind. It helps your blood flow smoothly and improves your breathing too. These things play an important role in reducing stress.

They are specialized therapies which are provided to you based on your health condition if you tell them specifically as to what your problem is. Detoxification in the form of consuming fruits, eating light food, taking liquids only and other such procedures too are followed to relieve stress. This process does take time and removes the toxins in the form of wastes from the body and helps in the flowing of pure blood. One has to take permission from a doctor or a nutritionists help in this case.

 

Yoga and breathing exercises also have a very positive impact on the body and it makes ones body muscles free and loosen them up. The breathing also changes the pattern of the respiration and improves the heartbeat and makes it stable. Specific postures are there which are particularly suitable for the purpose of those people who are suffering from stress and related problems.

 

Dance forms of different kinds also play their role in reducing stress. As these are all fine arts they help in clearing the clutter in ones mind. Thus making the thought process clear and allowing to think in the right direction and it also lifts the spirits in the person performing  or practicing the same.
