How to sell services on your website?

Hello Everyone!

Blog monetization has been quite a vast and complicated topic. Many scholars have discussed on this topic on full length.

Some people left their full time 9 – 6 day job in order to achieve career in blogging. You might wonder what?

Is it logical to leave day job just to pursue career in blogging. Yet, they were the ones making quite an awesome profit.

Is it via advertising? No – already discussed in the beginning series that it hardly earns a dime.

Is it via affiliate marketing? Well, Maybe. But there is something even bigger than that.

So, what is it? It is service marketing.

What is service marketing?

Everyone is good on one activity OR another. Often it happens that there is something probably no one knows better than us. For example, I can conduct a detailed SWOT analysis of anyone with just 2 hours of meeting. You can use this tool to grow personally and professionally. I know a user here who can draw excellent cartoons. Another user on this website is a good astrologer. So, we all have something special in us unseen anywhere else.

How about we telling others who we are actually?

STEP 0: Don’t be the spoon

India has a great economist Chanakya. He said – people go through scriptures but don’t understand who they are. They are like spoons who serves juice but doesn’t know the taste of what it is serving. Don’t be the spoon.

A similar statement was promoted by Socrates when he said – know thyself.

Both East and West agreed that understanding who you are is the most important step towards growth. Please note that I used Step 0 above.

You need to really conduct your SWOT analysis and take a note at exactly which service you are good at.

STEP 1: Don’t sell services on your blog directly

I know what you are thinking about.

Make no mistake – if you ask any professional and well established blogger, they will tell you that guest blogging is no. 1 technique to grow traffic.

You need to use a version of guest blogging to attract some money.

Find websites where you can sell your services directly. One such name is Fiverr where you start selling yourself for 5$.

Find out a very basic nature of service which you can offer and sell that for 5$. Follow their quality norms and write under description “I am a full time service provider and here is my website: www…”

STEP 2: Divide services in category

The right step is to think what maximum you can do. Accordingly, select a price for that. Now, scale down to 5$.

This 5$ must be in accordance with Step 1 mentioned above who shall help you get the customer base. Therefore, keep this 5$ as basic as possible.

However, it is strongly recommended to have a just and valid price and do not keep it more than 50$. You can go even higher, but note that in that case, you are promising to be a world leader in the service you offered.

Try having a vast category ranging from a small figure to a larger one. Please note: the service you offer for 50$ must be actually worth 15 times service you offered for 5$ OR even more than that.

I know some bloggers who hold webinars giving coaching (with full demonstration) for 5000$. Their topic was: how to start from $0 and reach $10 million in just 60 days.

STEP 3: Select appropriate payment processor

You are done once everything is finalized.
