One of the love killers in marriage is scandalous gossips and publications. Scandalous comes from the word scandal which means, “Any act, person or thing that offends the moral feelings of people”. Scandal also means “shame or outrage etc caused by offending the moral feelings of an individual or group of people”. Scandal is a “disgrace promotion from enemies”. The definition goes to present scandal as “wicked gossip”. Scandalous then means “causing shame and spreading offensive news “; Scandal is “libelous”. What is gossip? Gossip means “one who chatters or repeats idle talk, especially about other’s private affairs, rumours and to indulge in idle talk”. Scandalous gossip means the act of a person or thing that cause shame and outrage projected to offend the moral feeling of an individual, group of people and the entire public. Publication is to the printing and distribution usually for sale of books and magazines. Publication also means something that is published for public notification. These definitions bring out what comes out from the heart of certain husbands and wives. There may be issues in the family; the ability to contain and manage it is a show of maturity. Often on pages of newspapers, magazines, local tabloids and on the radio, television, internet and other means of reaching the public, people read news about families’ failures. In case of husband and wife, will the marriage continue after “washing their dirty underwear’s in the public?”I strongly believe that some scandals in marriage are sponsored to scatter marriages. Sometimes the wife who publishes the news about her husband’s misconduct may not have at the back of her mind that she is sowing satanic seeds that will keep her miserable for life if she continues in the relationship.
