Satisfy your cravings with healthy snacks

This will be one of my long posts, but I will not use many images because it will be too much for only one post to write.
It is said that when we are on a strict diet plus exercising to lose weight, it is to be expected that at one point in a time we will lose our focus and we will tend to overeat. In and during that craving episode we will damage our diet and weight loss and have to start it over again.
Of course, after stepping on the weight device it will also ruin our self-esteem because in that point we will think we can’t do anything as we should do.
The cravings are a result of chemical processes in our body and we can’t cope to it- We have no control what so ever and the biggest problem is that we are going after ways to cope with it.
Those ways are in many things wrong.
One is to overeat and other even worse is to not take anything to mild our feelings so they will accumulate until we start feeling trapped, anxious and finally very timid and depressed.

This is a list of food that will help you to cope with your disturb feelings during the extensive and long dieting.

It is said that we should take any of this food a piece, instead of mixing various foods together accumulating more carbs and more sugar and salt than we can do using just one of this food from the list.
All this food is rich in taste, has a different texture and usually it is salty, spicy and sweet – like we wish any urging fun food should be.
Using only a cup of this food, or a single plate will not ruin our diet and we will feel much better.
Always take care of the fast that any additional sweetener, sugar or additional spice or cream will add up to the unwanted calories.
So, try to stick to the single item from the list and don’t combine them in one day.
One item from a list daily will not ruin your healthy eating.

If you are suspecting that you are using too much of something consult your nutritionist or advise a notable resources online with caloric values.

I will list recommended snack and give my personal opinion about each of them.

Greek yogurt with berries
This is a right pick for me. I can easily enjoy this meal, and because there is variety of berries you can never run out of ideas.

Dark chocolate
Only if it is not the one for the cooking recipes. Dark chocolate and cooking chocolate taste completely different. Plus, I am in love with anything made of it.

Energy balls
Also sweet and great with energy boosting. Just don’t eat the whole bag on it. All these suggestions are based on one cup rule.

Pomegranate juice
I am not sure how sweet this is. I never tried to drink it, but I ate the fruit itself quite a lot. It is really not that special.

Roasted edamame
Not a slightest idea what it is, but a name sounds delicious enough for me. I would only try it to see how it goes.

Nuts
Anyhow… this is a true poison. If you can’t control to stop yourself, don’t even try. I know I can’t so I will not include this into my normal snack rich diet.

Olives
I have no idea how someone can truly enjoy the olives all by themselves. In my universe they go on top of the pizza and nowhere else.

Pickles
Same like with the olives, the pickles will only make me more hungry, and I can’t eat a lot of them either.

Watermelon and feta cheese
Fruit and actual cheese? Are you kidding me? No, this is definitely big no for me. I don’t think I will survive this experiment.

Trail mix
Do it at home trail mix is different than one bought in the supermarket. The trails from bag have too much salt and spices and additives, so avoid and make your own at home.

Raisins
Too much sugar in one cup. For me the raisins are only sugar in small balls.

Goji Berries
Same like raisins. They are too sugar.

Jerky
Or dry meat like we like to call it. I will spend more time chewing so it will definitely make me too tired for anything else.

Roasted chickpeas
Chickpeas taste like grained chalk. I never really like them.

Radishes
They are peppery. That is all I need to know about that food.

Jicama
If I only knew what that is…

Apple and peanut butter
I will take apples and leave that peanutty thing to whoever likes it. I don’t like it.

Popcorn
Absolutely my favorite. This can do. Don’t roast it in the microwave, it contains bad elements prepared that way.

Chia pudding
There Is too much seeds in this meal so I will definitely avoid it.

Mini Babybel Cheese
Like any cheese to me…

Whole-milk yogurt
Ok, now we are talking. I like this suggestion a lot.

Hummus and veggies
Dear, no-no. You leave humus to the people who enjoy it. I am not one of them , thank you.

Aged cheese
You mean to say one with mold? No!
