The Responsibilities of the First Constituent Assembly of Pakistan

Pakistan appeared on the map of the world on 15 August, 1947, at 12:01 am on Friday and Quaid e Azam was its first Governor General but at that time there was no constitution of Pakistan, no provincial laws and now other laws because it was a newly born country was facing many types of problems but the people of Pakistan were sincere with Pakistan because now it was their cherished homeland.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah knew that first of We will have to make Laws for Pakistan according to the Holy Quran but the capitalists, industrialist and feudalists keeping in mind the coming serious situation the Jinnah was killed by them, after this Liaquat Ali was killed by these persons now they are ruling the country with dishonesty.

As we all know that without laws no country man run that is why, making laws were most important to maintain Pakistan Sovereignty. When Jinnah made his first maiden speech in the Governor General House in Karachi he clearly told that Laws will be made according to the Holy Quran and besides no other will not be accepted at any cast in Pakistan.

First of all Jinnah said that first and foremost function of the people of Pakistan is to choose the honest persons who will make laws for Pakistan keeping in mind the Holy Quran. The laws will be equal for the rich and poor. No one will be above the law in Pakistan. Equality and justice will be made at any cast in the four provinces of Pakistan. The Founder of Pakistan clearly told the first constituent assembly what to for making laws.

The Quaid clearly told the first Constituent Assembly of Pakistan that the members of the Assembly are to perform two main functions: first, making laws for Pakistan, secondly, the chosen-members of the Assembly must be faithful and sincere to Pakistan and the Pakistanis. Actually it is a most difficult job but this problem must be solved with mutual co-operation. But it would be far better for us to make first provincial constitution to maintain law and order in the country this is the most important duty of the politicians of Pakistan. As the text shows:

“The constituent Assembly has got two main functions

to perform. The first is the very onerous and responsible

task of framing our future constitution of Pakistan.”

Continuing his speech he further tells the law-makers that laws are most necessary for the protection of the citizens of Pakistan, especially their faith, religious independence, lives and property must be preserved at any cost. Every sect would be free in worshiping and would enjoy equal rights living in Pakistan.

The Muslims and the Non-Muslims would be equal in the eyes of law. Laws would not be broken because it weakens the root of any country. All the people of Pakistan must follow law and order living in Pakistan. AS the text shows:

“No matter to what community he belongs…..a citizen

Of this state with equal rights, privileges and obligation…”

Further he said that the Constituent Assembly must pass strict laws to eradicate all types of evils from Pakistan. It is most important to do so. Keep in mind, bribery, corruption, black-marketing, nepotism and jobbery are the most dangerous evils and these evils make any country weak. Crush those people who practice such evils with iron hands.  The past history shows that bribery has been the main hindrance in making justice all over the world. But the situation in India is worse than the west. Especially crush black marketing trend-producers.

According to the Quaid, every nation has to face many types of problems when she gets independence as we will have to face in future. There are living many nations in Pakistan… Sikh, Hindus, Muslims, Pathan, Punjabi, Sindhi and Bloch… all must live peacefully. As the text shows:

“Thanks God we are not starting in those days. We are

starting in the days when there is no discrimination.”

Just like in India are living many nations. All people living in Pakistan will enjoy the same equal rights, cast and color distinction is not the matter of state. Thanks God, we are starting our country in good days and there is no discrimination between one cast and the other cast and creed. Pakistan must run according to the fundamental principles of Islam.
